Yep.

To be fair, this is pretty much what soccer looks like to me.

Deni. Deni is our PG.
Everyone can try to convince me that Scoot or Simons is our PG, but until I see any NBA tier point play from either, it's Deni.
Not saying that to hype Deni or criticize Scoot/Simons. But, guard heavy draft. So, while ideally some all-star tier PF falls to Portland, I'd be totally okay drafting a point guard/combo guard if that's the best player available.

Also remain baffled why people claim Sharpe doesn't play with effort. Guessing the haters have never met Canadians. Guy literally drives towards the hoop, draws three defenders - and here is where you can criticize, tries to rely on his athleticism to make some play happen. No dishing out of a collapsed defense to allow an open teammate to take a clean shot. Just some kind of hero ball.

Love Sharpe and Deni. But Deni clearly has a higher BBIQ while Sharpe remains one of the most athletic players in the league. Still, nice pieces to put around some all-star.

You forget about Ayton's expiring contract.

Sad part is, both are playing for their next contracts, so you know there will be some ten game stretch next season where they both play all-star tier. I am fine keeping both on MLE contracts. Look at the league. Are there 200 players you'd rather have? Possibly. Are there 200 players you would not rather have? Definitely. That's the definition of what a MLE contract should be. If another team offers more, good for Simons/Ayton and good for that team.

Deni. Deni is our PG.

Deni is our point-forward like LeBron is.
