I like my chances against any east team on any given night, even Boston to a certain level. Don't think there's a really scary team out there except for OKC at this point.

We absolutely cannot and will not be competitive with Boston, Cleveland, New York, or Milwaukee.

We have nobody on the team even close to Tatum's impact. We also don't have anybody close to Michell's impact, or even Mobley's. We also don't have anyone close to Brunson's level or Giannis' level. You get the picture.

There is a huge talent gap at the top-end between us and them. The only way that gap gets closed is if we draft a superstar this year or one of our prospects (Scottie or JaKobe) becomes that player.

We'll be able to compete with Detroit and Orlando for that #6 seed. Maybe even the Bucks (although they'd handily beat us in the playoffs).

Seems like really poor projections to me. Orlando can be in the home court mix next year, as can Philly.

It's like the people saying Memphis wouldn't be good this year or that Houston was going to a 0.500 team.

Progress happens. Regression happens. I'd bet on teams that have 2021 stars being good (Orl and Toronto also have 2021 stars, Orl has the 2022 1st overall pick and all star). These teams are next up IMO.

It was smart for Toronto to tank this year, grab Ingram for cheap and jump back into the fray next year. It's very clearly the plan, and I think it's likely to work. Lottery luck this year will (as always) determine the ceiling of this team.

Of course anything can happen. For us that "anything" is someone on the team taking a step to top-10 player status. It's the same thing for Orlando (Franz or Paolo need to reach that level, and I'm very high on Franz and think he'll get there next season).

But that's not something that happens out of the blue. Scottie is entering year 5 in the NBA next season, and if this season is anything to go by, he's nowhere near an elite offensive talent.

JaKobe is probably our next best prospect, but he's a rookie and I certainly wouldn't expect him to make that leap next season.

We'll have our pick this year as well, but he'll be a rookie next year. Again, he's unlikely to be that 1A scorer we need.

We're praying for luck next season. If we go by what we know, this team will not be competitive with the top teams in the conference next season. We'll be competitive with other middling teams, and that's fine, for now. I'm just pointing out that the leap some people are expecting, from whatever we are now, to elite team, isn't likely based on what we know about this roster right now.

i think we stole ingram from nop. the only thing that can possibly chnage that is if the indy pick turns out to ne 5-10 next year and they draft a star.

Flagg is so good

The intensity he plays with, his passing ability, keeps the ball alive. Once his offensive game comes around he's going to be a beast

Give me Fears or Queen. I prefer Fears because out of the two I feel he will translate the best in the NBA (Still gonna be someone we will have to be patient with, like Blazers were with Shaedon). Maluach might become an elite defender sure but we probably won’t be drafting this high in a long time. I want to gamble on the high ceiling offensive guy here, unless Fears has a Suggs like workout with the raptors I would pick him.

Yeah I'm of the same mind.

Fears looks like he has an elite feel to the game. And has the ability to run a good offense

Despite Queens physical limitations, he seems talented enough to overcome it

I agree this will be the last time in awhile we get a high lottery pick. I want to grab the best talent. Unless we move into the top 4, I keep on leaning taking Fears at our range. He has the skills that will translate to an open NBA game along with his quick first step he is a walking paint touch with shot creation ability.

I think Queen goes high. I think he's the 5th or 6th best prospect in this draft.

We are 2.5 games behind Brooklyn and 4.5 games ahead of San Antonio with 4 games left to play.

We the 7th!

We've played more games than them. They could still tie and we could end up with 8th. It's crunch time for the tank.
