Cooper Flagg attends Duke.

And both Maluach and Kon are on my (somewhat lengthy) list of guys I would take between 10-15.

Maluch and Kon will be long gone between 10-15. Neither is going to fall past 8

At 15 Wolf and McNeeley would be huge reaches. I was big on McNeeley early but he looks like a bad athlete. Makes Doug McDermott look like Michael Jordan. Add in he shot 31% from 3 and that was supposed to be his most NBA ready skill. Doesn't play defense. Hard pass.

A huge reach when compared to who?

McNeeley was seen as a lottery pick but looking more in the late teens(19-25). Wolf is seen a a late first guy. Great college player but going to be a struggle in the NBA.

When compared to which prospect that could be available late lottery or just outside of the lottery?

You can get him in the 2nd round.

Would love that.

Don’t see him being there in the 2nd after the combine.

Maybe the Spurs at #8, who might want to take that next jump would want the more sure thing vet option. 15/3/3 +/- of +9 in his last 19 games Bulls are 14-5. Today 13 points (3-5 from 3), +/- +8 in 28 minutes.

I've watched a lot of Duke this year. My comment stands. He's a rotten rebounder. He gets quite a few because he's 7' 2" and the ball falls into his hands. And he gets offensive rebounds because his Duke teammates are good. They get to the hole and draw the help defense, so that Maluach is uncontested on the miss.

But he gets smoked the moment that anything is contested. Boxed out, pushed around, outworked. He's a tall Tony Snell. Also gets bullied defensively. No, thanks.

I wouldn't draft Malauch in the top 20. I don't get it at all

I'm still fascinated with Rasheer Fleming. He's 6'9" and said to have a 7'5" wingspan. That basically makes him 6'11". He blocks shots, moves his feet well in defense, runs the floor like an SF, is a very good 3 pt shooter and seems to have a good BBIQ. I think the only reason he's ranked in the 20s is because he's a junior and plays at St.Joseph's, with weaker competition. I predict that his performance and measurements at the Combine will shoot him up the draft. He plays PF but could easily be a PF-C.

What’s the big knocks on Thomas Sorber?

I’m interested in him with our first pick if we ho with a big.

A ‘raw’ Luol Deng at the center position. Unfortunately, my dreams are over. lol

At this point, I’m ok with whoever we draft.

He had season ending foot surgery, and he'll have to develop as a shooter in the league. Some may say being 6'10" is a negative, but I'm cool with his height.

Love Rasheer in highlights and on first watch...then I watched two of his games and I didn't see the energy I wanted. I hadn't seen him at C but that's intriguing.

Think he’s Roy Hibbert slow.

We need a C that can fly. Joan Beringer is that guy.

Duke has 7 of the top 39 most valuable players in the country.....That tells you that list isn't very good.

Duke went 35-4 this year and was #1 ranked team on KenPom with a +39.29 rating, which is the 2nd best all time to Duke in 1998 (Elton Brand team) with a 43 rating. They had the #1 recruiting class this year. Why would you think that list isn't good? I take it you dont follow college basketball?

15, sure. The difference between 8 and 10 is negligible and players slip or rise 2-3 spots in the lottery pretty regularly. I think this year, similar to last year, will be particularly conducive to this. After the top 5 or picks, there is a lot of potential for movement up and down the board.

I agree it’s likely they are both gone before we pick. But if not, I see real value to the Bulls in both. Kon’s is pretty predictable. Maluach is much more of a swing on potential and simply being physically unique in a league increasingly moving back to the truly large center.

Or that Duke is very good. I’ve seen Kentucky have 5 guys drafted into the first round in the same year. That’s 5/30 and limited only to those who actually chose to enter the draft. College teams, even today with NIl $ and the portal, can still be this loaded with prospects.
