I should have said it above, thanks for pointing out the Denver win total. I should have checked.

You only get 3 wishes, so use them wisely

Never seen a 5 way tie this late in the season.

You are funny. OKC is deadly. Even as a bit less battle tested in terms playoff bb, they will be favored heavily no matter who they go against

The last two games they looked awful...and they are soft. I don't think they will get out of the West. I think it is -135 right now...I wouldn't bet $135 to win $100 on them. Go ahead if you think it's such a sure thing.

At the end of the day, if our goal is to win the west, we have to beat whoever is in front of us. I personally think our best avenue is okc in the wcf, but however it goes down, it goes down. We have to show up.

I agree they have to beat whoever is in front of them. I still think we want the highest seed possible. We want to win out and be the 4th if possible. I don't think the LAL will lose 3 of their last 4. I don't think it matters when we play OKC, we might be fresher if we played them in the conference semi's...who knows. Everyone thought we would lose to the Suns last year in the playoffs. Everyone thought we would lose to the Nuggets last year in the playoffs. Everyone thought we would beat the Mavs last year in the playoffs.

The West is going to be brutal. Denver and Memphis seem to be coming in the coldest but it can change quickly.

This is crazy because DEN had an extra win, it moved the LAC to 5th and Wolves at 7th. I got to think if DEN didn't have the extra win, Wolves must be in 4th.

One more interesting seeding note. The Kings have caught the Mavs and are now in 9th. If we end in the 4 or 5 then assuming we advance the 1 vs 8 is very relevant to us. I prefer the Kings to the Mavs so this is good (although likely irrelevant,) news from my perspective.

It's funny....if Denver was in the tie-breaker we would be the 4 seed, with them playing one more game we are the 7 seed.

You are correct. Nuggets have an extra win. Take Denver out of the 4 way tie and GSW has 6 wins (3 against us 3 against MEM,) and 5 losses ( 3 against LAC, 1 against us, 1 against MEM,) we are 4 wins (3 against LAC and 1 against GSW. I need to dig deeper to know the other records. Will edit to update.

You are correct....

LAC 8-5
GSW 6-5
Wolves 4-5
Memphis 3-6

LAC does not have 8. They lost 3 to us, and won 6 against the other 2.

I think i must have included the Denver games for the LAC.

That makes sense. God I wish Denver had played 1 fewer game. We need to keep winning. We do that 4th is highly likely.

Yes, at least we would had enjoyed being at 4th place for two days this late in the season :)

Right. It would be great to add our 4-0 into the tie-breakers if we can tie with DEN!

This is setting up a "BIG" Tuesday. If we beat the Bucks, we will be in 4th places.

A little interesting side note

If you need to watch a game on Monday, if DET loses at home to the Kings on Monday, it obviously helps secure our pick.

But it also pushes them 1.5 games behind MIL, vs only 0.5. The result of this game may help determine whether the Bucks see beating us as critical or not. Interestingly, they are scheduled to face DET for Games 81 and 82, with the 5th seed at stake.

Not necessarily. Very likely, but if LAC loses, and MEM and GSW win, then we only have 5 wins and GSW has 7, (3 against us, 3 against MEM, 1 against Denver.

Plus it helps bury the Mavs in 10th. Which in turn puts more pressure on the Mavs to defeat LAL and help us secure 3rd.

Those close losses vs GSW and MEM are killing us, we should had been 2 games ahead of all of them

We could win on Tuesday and jump to 4, and then not play on Wednesday and fall to 8.

Crazy end of season. Win the next 20-25 games and we may be NBA champion :)
