Is this Doncic guy on the Lakers related to Luka?

If you give any player in the league a starting spot and 30ish minutes a game they’re going to put up stats. I don’t watch the Wizards but he’s the worst starter on the worst team in the league so that makes me feel a little better.

LeBron and Steph are breaking NBA aging curves.

They shouldn't still be this good

Wait, Ja did the finger gun thing AGAIN? This dude might be the dumbest athlete alive, and I'd want him nowhere near my favorite franchise. He'll just never get it.

I think both these things are true:

1. AJ Johnson isn't playable in the NBA right now if you're truly trying to win something and playing a d that cares.
2. He's made major strides during this season to not totally crater teams even in this situation, which bodes well for his future.

Feels like a Middleton situation brewing here.

"There was some tension there between Joel Embiid and that front office, from my understanding," Charania said. "The team believed he needed to play at some points of the season, that he needed to get his conditioning right through playing and getting better that way. He felt like he needed surgery. He ends up getting the surgery."

And Embiid isn't even the most immovable contract on that roster. I can't wait to see how Philly tries to dig itself out of this mess.

No sympathy for any NBA player who is constantly hurt but also happens to consistently be out of shape/have poor conditioning. Never going to ever feel bad for any of them and in fact I think they deserve the injuries and everything crappy that comes with them if it's because guys aren't taking care of their bodies.

Kuzma for Embiid and McCain.

That was always the plan.

Crazy how tight the 3-8 race is in the west.

The ESPN piece that just dropped by Tim MacMahon and Chris Herring on Jokic is legitimately embarrassing. I expect **** like that from MacMahon but was disappointing to see Herring's name on it as well.

The article is basically trying to hype up Jokic's defense based on him being an "analytics darling"...and the only two metrics they use in the whole article are...
1) DBPM, which is a straight up garbage metric that even the creator of the metric has admitted it's been broken by Westbrook previously and Jokic now because of it's box-score based formula that rewards assists. It is a "defensive metric" that literally rewards centers extra for assists.
2) The # of kick ball violations Jokic gets, as if it's some galaxy brain maneuver that has solved how to play defense.

Jokic is a great enough player without this type of utter nonsense being written about him over and over again. Imagine if Giannis got this type of treatment at literally any point in his superstar run? Lol

Feel like he was underrated defensively in the past and the arguments you could make no longer work.

If the standings hold, that GSW-DEN matchup in round 1 could be awesome.

Warriors Lakers could be really good too.

The west playoffs should be good but I can't decide if I think the Thunder are going to steamroll everyone. Of if the Thunder being young makes them beatable in the west.

Normally if a team was 64-13 and 13.5 games ahead of the 2nd team, I would say that team is going to cruise to the Finals. But the Thunder are unproven as a juggernaut.

As long as the Thunder don't play the Bucks in a scenario where the Bucks only get paid $$$ if they win. The Thunder should be ok.....lol.

The Pacers are kinda good. It’d be a real 50/50 even with Dame. Without him… better hope we can get hot from 3. No Midds to save us this year.

A half game separates SGA from winning MVP.

I'm just wondering how many more MVP's guys like Kareem, Jordan, and Wilt would have if the media operated under the current "Jokic rules" (i.e. wins don't matter) back then.

It's funny that Jordan was 11th in MVP voting the year he came back from the Barons, though (17 games).

Don't forget his masterful kicked ball violations
