Because they beat a bad team?

I want them to do well in the playoffs but I am also going to judge this team and Thibs off of how they play in the playoffs.

No because we won 50 games back to back in years which no other coach has done

Thibs isn’t going anywhere regardless of what happens in the playoffs. We just gave him a big extension.

Do you think if this season ends with the team getting humiliated in round 2 by Boston, Tom's job is safe? He's been outcoached by Mazzula and Atkinson badly this season. As much as we point out how Mikal has been trash against good competition, we can't ignore the fact that Tom looks completely lost when coaching against teams that play modern ball

Whether realistic or not, the FO envisions this team going deep in the playoffs or winning a championship. Dolan is sniffing around too.

Bottom line: Thibs is getting canned if this team gets embarrassed in the playoffs.

Thibs fans may be in denial the same way they were in denial that Leon was going to bring KAT home....but it's going to happen if we don't have a deep playoff run.

We are fully healthy...no excuses.

Got to have a good showing in Round 2. Anything less will be a disaster for a roster this talented.

Oh hell yeah, Let's buy all the way in. This OG, mitch starting to play like mitch in the paint, plus a few more games for Brunson to get his legs under him. Everyone is healthy.

LFG!!!!!

You’re late, but welcome to the party!

I'm ready to be hurt again!

Honestly, I fck with our chances. On any given night in any series we will have the best player on the court who is clutch. And with a real solid healthy squad around him.

I fcking love knicks playoff hoops. Nothing in sports compares to it. I'm in. Fck Boston and Fck the Cavs. Let's get it.

Thibs doesn't run the most inventive half court offense. People might think the offense looked good with Wright, but I saw a LOT of stagnation in half court sets. They were fine when they got out and had the defense off balance. Thibs needs a PG who can create/score a bit more, so Wright isn't going to play over Cam, because Cam hits 3s but can also pressure the rim, which Wright doesn't really do.

He didn’t get out coached. We just have a very flawed roster that allows teams to exploit our weaknesses. That’s a roster problem. No coach is fixing that. Thibs job is safe.

Well, melo is a Celtics fan, so that's kind of his dream

Actually, now I can see why he likes Thibs. Cause Thibs ain't ever doing anything in the playoffs, meaning the team he hates so much for trading away his favorite player will always lose to his favorite team if they meet

Things make more sense now.

Bro we got blown off the floor in multiple games, Thibs doesn't get absolved from blame here. The team has looked flat out unprepared.

No roster is perfect and a coach has to scheme to counter what teams might try to exploit. Tom looked like a deer in headlights versus Boston and Cleveland.

Thibs playing drop coverage against a team that hoists a ton of threes is good coaching to you?

If Knicks are smart they will start to rest our guys now. This is the healthiest OG has been since he became a Knick. I would love to see what this version can do in the playoffs. KAT, Mikal and Hart need the rest as well. Try to create some bench cohesion these last 4 games instead of risking injury to the starters.

It doesn’t matter what scheme we use. They target KAT on switches regardless and he’s awful. Drop coverage, switch, we’re cooked no matter what with KAT. And it’s worse when we have Brunson so they can put him and KAT on pick and rolls all day.

We’ve had multiple teams with Thibs that were top 10 defenses. actually in the top 5 last year. So blaming Thibs doesn’t make sense really.

Back to back 50 win seasons. 50-28 overall

Here's a breakdown of our record

42-6 vs Teams with losing records
8-22 vs Teams with winning records

84% of our wins have come vs losing teams
16% of our wins have come vs winning teams

Unfortunately in the playoffs we play winning teams

But nonetheless, BEST MID TEAM IN THE NBA!!!
