why doesn't the defense push back on the other side? linebackers/safeties pushing the lineman

That rationale is that it's too money.

Just as they pushed the PAT kick back 10 yards so it wasn't 95% automatic, the fact that the push tush always gains at least 1-2 yards would be one of the reasons to ban.

Defense isn't allowed to push linemen.

I know they're not allowed to on special teams, unsure about other scenarios.

Did anyone see San Fran comments on Purdy? I can’t believe they value him as a top 10 QB. Shannahan had already proven he can win with mediocre QBs. This model will backfire. I would let Purdy walk
Praying for Burrow

There’s a new rumor that is gaining traction among NFL owners. Owners know they will not be able to ban the tush push but are now working on a “compromise”.

In this compromise the new play will have Jalen hurts turned around before he snaps the ball, making it a more difficult play to execute. This new play will be called “the crotch rocket”.

Pretty much every 3rd or 4th down within a yard and a half of first down.

 Just like last year with Mingo, Cowboys giving up 4th round picks for back up scrubs. You really can't make this stupidity up when it comes to Jerry and Stephen.

They should trade Dak for a 4th round pick to even it out.
