I like him though. Would love to see him in a magic jersey... which means we wouldn't draft him.
If Clayton played for Duke, he probably would've got drafted after his freshman year. Clayton's sophomore season, he shot 46/43/95.

But he didn’t and couldn’t. Making it on the Duke squad is a major feat most aren’t able to achieve. He played on Iona. Come on.

Players get overlooked. Tyrese Haliburton grew up in Big Ten country and played at Iowa State. Haliburton got no offers at a Big Ten school and got overlooked in the draft. NY needed a PG and passed on him at 9.

Clayton's defense is actually solid too. I'm invested in drafting this kid now

Emmanuel Sharp… I’ve not seen that kind of panic before. Great close out by Clayton.

Sharp's back to back Turnover at the end really cost Houston the game. They gave this game away.

Clayton looked fine IMO. Made solid passing reads, they were simple reads to wide open guys due to the pressure they were putting on him, but still good reads nevertheless. A couple bad turnovers. I came out believing he can play PG more than I had.

He did struggle with their physicality. Of all the draftable guards I believe he has one of the lowest frequencies of getting to the rim. He is mostly a jumpshooter, but ability to hit off of designed plays is certainly a plus.

Meh game, but still think his stock is way up.

MVP last year was a senior PG. He was drafted 40th and has a two way contract.

Age and size are going to hurt his draft position. He isn’t a lock to be a PG at the next level is almost a 1st round death nail.

I see him going anywhere from 27 to 35.

Connecticut had 2 lottery picks on that team. Who's the 1st round picks on the Gators? Clayton may be the only draft pick on the team.

Not the best game for Clayton. Houston is a relentless defensive team. He impacted the game in other ways with passing and still hit some big buckets in second half that helped win the game. Solid defense too. Im all in on drafting Walter Clayton Jr with Denver pick.
