Re: 2024-25 Season Discussion and Speculation Part V
You know who loves Brooks? Udoka loves Brooks… you know who loves VanVleet? Udoka loves VanVleet. You can’t rip out the backbone and expect to stand up right. Not with noodle spine Durant. Houston has an identity that matches their coach, tough and hard nosed. Seems Green is the odd man out and principal salary. He’s a ball dominant chucker and how does that mesh with KD? Sound familiar? Green will need to be shipped off to a third team if this deal ever comes to exist.
Furthermore, Phnx and Wishbia and all you delusional trade makers are going to be in for a big disappointment when you come to realize the Suns have virtually zero leverage in dealing KD. Zero. Especially once he packs his own bags. There are not but a few teams that will take him, and it won’t be hard to be the top bidder. Most of those teams are contenders with big payrolls and few assets. Minn has trash to give up. (actually, Randall might be the best player you can get for KD…whoopee) Miami has trash. SanAnt is not going to wreck their timeline and roster to accommodate an aging mercenary. They are a patient franchise on the brink of dominance. Your only hope is that OKC or Houston get in some kind of bidding war, when the truth is neither team absolutely needs KD. Just by saying Phnx wants a load for KD doesn’t make it happen. Acquiring him is an act of desperation at this point in his career. There won’t be an over pay like it took to get him. The same mistake won’t be repeated, no matter how hard you try to talk yourselves into it.
(Edited to be less offensive)

But go ahead and keep fondling each others egos with page after page of the same troll like BS
Good thing Udoka isn’t the GM. They have a shot to get KD for a Brooks or FVV + players . They do that

Yea suddenly there’s a higher chance to pass the Mavs. Either Mavs lose 2 of 3 and the Suns win all 4, or the Mavs lose all 3 and the Suns win 3 of 4.
The only hope is that we have played the Warriors well and OKC temporarily sucks and/or will have the #1 overall locked up by the time we play them.

Mavs play Raptors at home so Suns need to win all 4 and that may still not be enough. Good luck.
Reading Blazers post mortem on GB and realizing they have a better future than Suns. Spurs too. Being 11th could be the highlight of next few seasons.

Don't care to make the playoffs. At this point I'm not sure I'd even watch.
I thoroughly detest this franchise. Also Frank yeah that's the position we've painted for ourselves, but get whatever you can. Doesn't matter if it's even or close to even. Remove the cancer from the bloodstream.

Just had a scary thought we move up in the draft lottery and get a first pick. Imagine having to deal with watching Cooper Flagg playing for Houston Rockets next 15 years.
Phoenix Suns are only franchise in the NBA which doesnt put a protection on their first rounders, right?

Our FO insists they are unprotected. Ishbia and Jones are cool dudes, they want to be loved by everybody.

Same boat Bheart…. If it wasn’t for my waning addiction to this site and FanDuel, doubt if I would care at all. This is by far the least number of games I’ve watched in a season, but yet one of the most profitable. It doesn’t really matter what happens as we’ve been ransacked so efficiently that it’s at least a 5yr plan to relevance. I feel bad about raggin down the would be GMers who clearly are just trying to entertain themselves, even if in a schoolgirl fashion. I’ve done my 50… so passing off my give a shttt to them, reserving an occasional jab when the silliness exceeds reality, at least my reality.

Also interested in teams who have made a turnaround sooner than expected. I need some optimism even if it's a long shot.

Houston and Detroit have done pretty well recently
Oklahoma City was bad for a couple years but they never truly bottomed out if I recall - well maybe the Chet H year
Patience and a vision. Isbhia doesn't have either. Especially the latter

Taylor Jenkins from Memphis
Now Mike Malone from the Nuggets
I think Malone is a good coach but until the GM is figured out and the roster is truly figured out - not sure the HC is the highest priority

Why would you lose money ? Are you betting on the Suns ? My only losing bet(O/U 46.5 wins) on EL and NBA.
