I’d be happy to draft Egor. He was probably the 2nd prospect I scouted after VJ. I don’t know exactly how he fits in but I’d be happy to have him here. I think he’ll be special eventually.

This year's class IMO seems heavy in high ceiling/low floor guys in the 2-15 range. I guess if there's good news, it's that there are few guys that AK might draft that would be akin to our WCJ pick. I'll admit that Queen and Maluach scare me the most in this regard, but if our scouts see the most upside in either guy, then I'd be ok. I am not too worried about drafting a "bad fit" good player if they are the BPA.

Most likely Queen and Maluach will be gone before the Bulls pick. If you want a big, Collin Murray-Boyles has a chance to be around the 11-15 range. And you hope for the next Draymond Green.

I'm rooting for that scenario, but I think both of those guys will slip during the combine. Said maybe differently, I expect other guys to rise.

If anything Maluach will be a riser. Teams will see him hitting 3s and mid range jumpers in work outs and fall in love.

I would love Maluach on the Bulls. In there current range no player has more upside. But the more the Bulls win the less likely a guy who could be a top 30 NBA player will be available. AK wanted to tank the rest of the year and tried to move Huerter and Jones but i guess couldn't find the right offer (or any offer). Ironically now Bulls could get a decent return for both. Maybe then we luck into V.J. at #4. Perfect fit for what the Bulls need. But i am sure AK is in full win now mode and who knows this teams looks like next year. Probably not great.

Then they will learn that they think he's an African uber-athlete like Hakeem, Joel, and Dikembe, but in fact he's a poor man's Shawn Bradley. Oh, what am saying? Sean averaged 7.2 blocks and 0.9 steals per 40 as a college frosh. Maluach was at 2.5 and 0.4. He's not rich enough to be a poor man's Bradley.

Hes gong to be a top 10 pick. No one says you have to like it. Also no one is looking at his current stats and going future league MVP. They look at his physical profile & he will be 20 during his 2nd NBA season and picture what he will be in 4 years. He is an upside play, no one is claiming otherwise.

Guess he got assurances he would be a top 20 pick.

BYU freshman guard Egor Demin will enter the 2025 NBA draft, a source told ESPN on Tuesday.

Demin, the No. 12 prospect in ESPN's NBA draft projections, was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman team after averaging 10.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 27.5 minutes per game.

Demin helped BYU make the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2011, finishing 26-10. Demin had some of his best games of the season in three NCAA tournament games, posting 15 points, 7 assists, 2 steals and 1 turnover in what proved to be the final game of his career against Alabama in Newark, New Jersey.

Has there been an update on his visa status? Will he be allowed to play here?

I understand that but dispute the upside. He's not a good athlete.

He will be switchd and isolated to death just like our current center. He is not a plus athlete. Just tall.

Agreed. No place for lead foot bigs on great defensive team in today’s NBA. Queen is even worse potential defensively.

You can do anything you like. It doesn't change anything about how he is viewed.

I expect him to be able to move well enough that teams don’t treat him like Vuc on the perimeter. I don’t think here can. He’s a relic of the past. Maybe I’m wrong and he’ll be Gorbert, but I seriously doubt it.

For sure. Happened with Mo Bamba who was a better athlete than Maluach. And Bamba does shoot 3s at 36% for his career and as high as 39% in his better seasons, so it wasn't a mirage he does hit 3s accurately in the NBA.

Bamba also produced more in college. 13 & 11, 3.7 bpg.
Maluach is 8 & 6 with 1.3 bpg.

Similar length, Bamba: 9' 6" standing reach Maluach: 9' 8" standing reach.
