OT: Nuggets fire Mike Malone....

I can't believe they have done this, seems absolutely ridiculous to me. This has become the season of out of nowhere moves. Luka, Jenkins, and now Malone. :nonono:

If the topic comes up, YES you ABSOLUTELY should include Jaden McDaniels in a potential trade offer for Nikola Jokic.

Calvin Booth gone too. Which was probably the much more needed move.

The two couldn’t agree. Booth wanted Malone to play the youth he drafted, Malone wanted to play the vets and win.

I’m surprised they eliminated both sides of that equation.

Holy cow. Who do you get to replace him??

Why would you do that? I understand the calls for Finch (don't agree, but I understand) but Malone seemed to be pretty good over all. :nonono:

Thank you for Tim Connelly, Denver!

Finch will have a stacked coaching team next season with assistants Jenkins and Malone

Whoaaaa. That's dumb. Malone is a good coach. They might of won back to back if they didn't run into the wolves. The roster is way more to blame than the coaching.

Yea extending Murray was dumb. He can't stay healthy throughout a playoff. Surround jokic with like 2 really good healthy players and they're a title contender

In 10 seasons Jokic never played with a current All-Star. I believe about 50% of their cap is tied up in Murray and MPJ. They've let really good roleplayers leave and have done almost nothing to replace them.

The second apron affected both Denver and Minnesota significantly. Only Minnesota seems to have adjusted to the new NBA reality while Denver has slowly emaciated away.

True, but the Kroenke’s were one of the cheapest NBA owners, despite their Walmart fortunes.

They went years without paying the luxury tax, regardless of how good their team was. They didn’t allow the team to keep their best role players. They regularly sold first round picks. They underpaid their staff. Thank you, for Tim Connelly!

Booth was bad, especially the Jamal Murray contract. Part of the job of a GM is to encourage the owner to spend on the team.

I do think this puts more pressure on Finch.

Connelly did hire Malone in Denver and spent 7 years working with him.

I'd fire Finch for Malone. Do it Tim!

I would hire Jenkins or Malone instead of Finch. Booth really did mess up losing KCP for nothing, not moving MPJ, over reliance on Westbrick, ect…

I need to check the money, but I would give Rudy and Jaden in a heartbeat for Joker. Joker plus Ant is a dynasty.
