I mean it's improbable but he has one hell of a resume & ties to AK.

As long as AK is the GM Billy will be the coach.

I think Malone is a good coach, but there's no point swapping out coaches while AK is here. It's changing deck chairs on the Titanic.

IMO, Billy has done a pretty good job this year with the talent that's been given to him. He doesn't really rate highly among the issues you need to fix to fix the Bulls.

I’d love to have him here but I’d love AK to try for Joker even more.

Why would Joker want to be here if Coby and Matas were gone?

In this scenario, I sort of doubt Coby would be gone. If Denver were ever to entertain trading Joker, they are in all likelihood blowing it up. So my guess is they would be focused on younger players, expiring contracts, and every conceivable draft pick the Bulls could trade.

But I bet it would take something like a re-signed Giddey, Matas, expirings, and all tradeable firsts, and probably some swaps in the years the 1sts aren't traded.

Although the market for a top 5 player in the NBA was recently set at "Anthony Davis," so maybe I'm wrong, lol.

I like Malone, but the reality is that the Bulls will win about 10 games more this year than the Vegas oddsmakers believed when the season started, the young guys are playing well, and the team seems harmonious. Coaches who have years like that get extended, not fired.

Jerry would have to fire AKME and bring in Calvin Booth himself as the GM with a new Pres to bring in Mike.

Nor should he be fired. Same goes for the management.

Booth and Malone did not get along. Like...at all.

I don’t love BD, but the notion that he has done anything other than - at worst - slightly over perform with the hot trash of horribly matched core players, redundant player acquisitions, and failed draft picks is born of a handful of posters blaming him for how “their guy” was handled. Not how the team performed.

Not to mention how the team is performing now that it has a workable identity and players who logically fit together to form the beginnings of something that finally makes some kind of sense.

The Lakers are always the favorite to land any star player and almost never get them. They dont have the cap room or assets to trade for him.

We have a coach and he isn’t going anywhere.
