Best Jokic trade ideas!

Post#1 » by guest81 » Tue Apr 8, 2025 6:21 pm

Let's see if there's a realistic trade that the Wolves and Nuggets could make to get jokic on the wolves.

Seeing as it's for fun and we aren't gms let's just say we aren't super hampered by the 2nd apron and salary cap. Just straight up trying to find the best deal for both sides

Mine,

Jokic
MPJ
Jordan

For

Gobert
Jaden
Randle
Clark
Detroit pick
Future 1st
3 seconds

Lineup would be

Jokic
Naz
TSJ?
Ant
Conley

I think it would be important to keep one of Gobert or McDaniels. I would actually be intrigued to see a frontcourt of both Jokic and Gobert. It's not like Jokic spends all of his time on the low block....

If Gobert goes though, McDaniels becomes the only real low-man defender. That's why I think it has to be one or the other.

I don't see Denver even answering the phone without us starting with Ant and Jaden.

What is Denver trying to accomplish with a Joker trade? They want to tank to rebuild. Gobert and Jaden to a different team for a ton of picks (three team,) is most likely. Those picks then translate to Joker in. We don’t want MPJ or Jordan. If you could give Randle, Jaden, Dilly, DDV, and picks I would. NAW/Ant/Clark/Joker/Rudy
Would function on both ends. You have TSJ, Minott, Miller, and whoever else you get back as filler to build around. Joker is only 30.

Someone would beat us, easily.

The only way Jokic doesn't get the greatest haul of all time is if he demands to be traded to a single location or the Denver FO only negotiates with one team (while spending the whole time complaining about how fat he is).

Like, OKC would include anything and everything short of Shai. Houston likely similar

Say what you want, but if the new front office wants to build a defensive identity, could do worse than starting a trade with Rudy Gobert. The problem with the Doncic trade is that's where the negotiation ended by Dallas. Denver would likely ask for more assets. DiVincenzo, McDaniels, Reid, etc. is a good group of possibilities for them to ask for if they don't want to outright tank.

It starts with Anthony Edwards, there is zero pathway to both being on the same team next season.

To be clear, you do that and run with it.

Joy killer! It would literally be the most ideal combination ever. Ant is perhaps the best play finisher in the NBA while Jokic is obviously the best play starter. Would be so deadly!

None of which are tradable. Our 1st round picks are tied up through 2031 (technically 2033, but you can't actually trade that far out).

Being even more of a joy killer, Denver’s ownership hates Tim Connelly for going to Minnesota. They took less value in a Bones Hyland trade just so Minnesota couldn’t have him, I think that they would restrict their new front office from trading Nikola Jokić to Minnesota.

Did the Kroenkes do that or did Calvin Booth?

I really doubt Calvin Booth hates Connelly.

It is 100% the Kroenke's who have sour grapes about the situation.

Source. Original Source
Nuggets owner Josh Kroenke said the Timberwolves’ offer that ultimately lured team president Tim Connelly “kind of came in through the side door, as they always seem to do in the NBA.”

That was just the beginning of Kroenke’s dissatisfaction.

Nikola Jokić will NEVER be traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, so long as the Kroenke family has input.
