Booth was just the fall guy for ownership, all his moves were made because ownership didn't want to pay the cost to keep KCP/Brown on the team, so they had to try and find guys in the back end of the first round to fill holes. He had a big whiff on Nnjai, but Braun was a home run.

Still... don't you give Malone the playoffs?

I can't remember even a coach of a bad team getting fired at this stage of the season let alone a playoff coach.

I think they're punting on the playoffs, it sounds like they aren't sure Murray is going to be able to play in them, so they're done regardless. I would guess big changes are coming in the summer, Porter is absolutely gone.

They know they're done.

That's quite the **** you to the fans.

I know Kroenke is cheap, but Calvin was out here operating like the players he was losing were easily replaceable, was even doing interviews **** on those players when they left while bigging up Payton and Braun

Braun is excellent, he was the 21st pick, and Watson was the 30th. Finding two rotational guys where they picked is great work, I agree he shouldn't have acted like KCP was easy to replace, but the Team owner is to blame for them not having KCP, Braun and Watson altogether. They didn't want to spend, and they are where they are because the GM has to build around a tight wallet.

Losing guys on a championship team is the owner's fault and nobody elses.

I 100% agree cheap ownership is biggest problem, but my thing is if you knew you were going to possible lose players because ownership is cheap you should make moves to maximize their value rather than let them walk for nothing like KCP.

Bruce Brown I won’t blame him for because you won a chip and weren’t going to pay him that massive deal he got, but my issue is Calvin’s cockiness and having the I’ll make another one approach with the players he was losing while already knowing he’s hamstrung with poor ownership

I'm sure the nerds in the front office will figure out how we can trade for Jokic. But from what I just tried to do on fan spo we have to get under the 2nd apron.

ESPN coming up with the most random facts, “Nuggets won the championship 666 days ago, today Malone was fired, ominous sign?”

We'll be under the 2nd apron when the next season starts on July 6th and renounce the rights to a lot of the guys on the last year of their deals.

Malone from Queens too, grew up a Knick fan, and a championship caliber coach
This would be a big get

Westbrook ruined the lakers that year. And they made melo the scapegoat and forced him to retire when he was still solid. It's crazy that teams are still taking chances on Westbrook.

Mike Malone was actually an assistant coach and scout for the Knicks during Marbury's 1st two seasons

We were his first job in the NBA

Why would the Nuggets want KAT? They would laugh at us and hang up the phone.

Just like Milwaukee, Denver would rebuild. But most importantly, they would not let them go.
