guys we don't have a genius coach but he's not on the court smiling after being absentminded in a make or break overtime play

He’s dressing it up but he doesn’t want to foul

He will dabble in it a bit … he did it once … but he won’t go out of his way … in this case to win the game

idk how you could be a new yorker (or new york knick fan) and not get unreasonably angry upon seeing the look on that kid's face after letting a ball floating directly in front of his face fall out of bounds

KAT played an excellent game...outside of a few lapses on defense which are to be expected. He dominated the celtics.

Who MB? He should not be smirking after a bad turnover

I said it at halftime that Boston was gonna counter and it was up to Thibs to keep the chess match going. Thibs pretty much laid down his queen in the 4th and surrendered the king in OT. Not one strategic move while Mazzula led with one substitution after the next, even keeping KP fresh till the last 2 minutes of OT. Out coached Thibs and ran circles around him. This has turned out to be pretty much the story against good teams so really nothing to see here. Y'all Thibs lovers keep defending him though for whatever reason God only knows. He's a failure of a coach when it really matters.

We need at least a year of continuity and chemistry to even dream of being as good as the C’s . We’re headed in the right direction.

It really isn't a moral victory, they didn't have Horford and Brown only played 21 minutes. If they're healthy it will not be a competitive series against them, it's 4-1 type of series if not a sweep.

If anything it was a moral victory for BOS

Along with getting the actual victory

No and true but he’s got crossed arms, with the same grousing crap over and over and not actively coaching in a detail oriented (or helpful) way either

He doesn’t want to micromanage the game but all good stuff is in the details

of course he dressing it up....he doesn't believe in the 3 pt shot...he doesn't care to defend it...he doesn't think about fouling up 3, he believes in shell defense that will get us through.

All the high volume 3 pt teams its the same thing.

Moral victory and it shows we can compete and take them to 5-6 games which is the ceiling this year like it or not.

Brother is this like reverse psychology type thing? Negativity on every single post lol...I see you  . I know deep down you know we can take it to the Celtics in the second round

Knicks might get past the Pistons, but it's not a given at all. They match up poorly with them and I really don't trust Thibs.

Celtics, even though I despise them:
Better starting lineup
Way better bench
Way better defensive schemes
Better offensive schemes.
Basically, Thibs massively outclassed.

Sucks. Maybe they are better in a year. I think they need to fire Thibs and explore some serious trade(s)

I think I they can play with the Celtics. Would love to see ring Donte back in the offseason and get someone like Bruce Brown

It's time for unc thibs to go. I appreciate and applaud him turning this team around but now it's time for a new thinker to take the reigns. We have no offensive schemes. None what so ever. We are not tapping into the potential of the players we have acquired and it's blatantly obvious. It's time. We need real time adjustments in game. Tired of this watching film chit. Build a f#*king offensive scheme bro. Put players in position to succeed. Fight back. WTF.
Thibs had in game adjustments. OG at the free throw line to beat the trap. OG on Tatum. Thibs makes hisadjustments.

This game showed that we’re simply not ready for playoff basketball… the 1st rd is going to be tough af and we’ll get bounced quickly by the Celtics in the EC semis.

We have zero identity and poor coaching

Mikal hit some big shots during the comeback. Then ruined it with that turnover.

Overall, their one wing outplayed our 3 wings

he should have caught the pass but there was what 6 seconds left on shot clock? what was KAT thinking about throwing it to someone in the corner with a defender draped all over him.

KAT is in a triple threat position. Either put it on the floor or take the 3. it wasn't a good pass at all or a decision.

I actually didn’t think OG looked good guarding Tatum

He lost him easily at the arc

Bridges is doing terribly but he tightened up and played some good defense

Tatum is not all that … you can beat him if you forget about the refs and play all out against him … he’s very good but also a product of soft reffing. You can think a guy is good and also a manufactured star and I think he is somewhat

Paul Pierce was better

This is where I give the team props for the adjustment of running the offense through Towns and punishing them for guarding him with a guard or wing, probably the biggest difference in any game we played them this year.

Also this first game I remember under Thibs the team actually knew what do when the other team went to the zone

Knicks need to be more physical with Tatum...get him frustrated asking for calls. He is a whiney bitch to the officials when he isn't getting calls.
