If you watch the replay, you can even see Brunson throw up his hands while back peddling on defense saying something like "should we foul". This is 100% on Thibs. Our guys almost always fall apart in the closing minutes against top tier teams. That's them not being prepared with X and O's going into battle. Inexcusable at this level!

That's not even true. The Knicks have an excellent record in close and overtime games. This is the first time they've been close to a top team. The other 8 games were all blowouts.

When it comes to clutch situations, Thibs has notoriously NOT fouled when up 3
He can never draw up an out of bounds play to save his life
He doesn’t communicate plays offensively in crunch time to his team

Not playing Mitch over hart
Not having a proper play drawn up to close out regulation, you make hart shoot, why is he even in the game?
Not fouling Tatum up 3

It took two games and the team reverted back to exactly what it was before Brunson got injured. He’s not running the team effectively at all and I 100% believe he got outcoached.

One last thing about this coach, I’m sick of the same things for ages. FOUL UP 3 and under 10 or 15 seconds to go.
I’m tired of having one of the best Knick rosters ever, at definitely the most talented in the last 25 years, and one of the most stupid archaic coaches I’ve ever seen, holding back the team.
The game passed him by 15 years ago. I scream at the TV night after night, knowing fully well, Thibs is the reason we will have to wait another 10-15 years for another rebuild because he wont win us a ring, and HE is the reason why we have a lid on our potential.

The good news is we can beat Boston if we have competent coaching.

Also it’s going to be hard for them to maintain this roster after this season. Meanwhile I actually think we could get better this offseason.

Mike Malone and Taylor Jenkins are out there…. There is a legit chance we see coach Bud out there this summer. Plus Dan Hurley might leave UConn considering his pursuit of a 3peat is over. This summer is going to be about as good as any other for the Knicks to look at other potential head coaches.
