It took two games and the team reverted back to exactly what it was before Brunson got injured. He’s not running the team effectively at all and I 100% believe he got outcoached.

Mikal aint the problem, I’ve been saying this
The guy can put up 30 in his sleep
There’s a reason why he thrives in certain situations
Thibs does NOT put any player on the team in a position to win, ever
The whole system is “read and react”… wtf is that??
The individual talent of each member of the team, is the sole reason we can wing games.
Mikal, nor KAT, nor OG is the problem, you’re playing these guys in completely wrong positions. GET A MODERN NBA COACH! The goal is championships, not 50 win seasons

Yep, we are “succeeding” on talent, not coaching.
Not to say Thibs is a terrible coach but he clearly doesn’t use players to their strengths.
He is still bent on pushing round pegs in square holes.
It is a shame as our window is small, especially since we have moved most of our assets.

Lastly, we are less of a TEAM with Brunson cause Thibs relies on him too much.
A better and modern coach would have us humming by now.
But Thibs is fulfilling a childhood dream and coaching with the same “playbook”.

You really want to ram an icepick through your balls, the Celtics traded less for KP and Derrick White than we did for Five Pick Mik.

That's one of the advantages of being a good team. Players want to play there and you get good deals. We need to make good deals and we can continue to improve.

We won't and we won't. The same donkey front office that signed Kemba Walker to 2 guaranteed, traded Grimes and 5 1sts and a swap for Homeless Tony Campbell isn't saving this franchise or maiing a 'good deal'. Same braintrust that extended R_ a year early? The only good deal was hiring Rick Brunson and paying him under the table to get Jalen here. Even that took cooperation from the actual worst FO in Dallas.

There are no good deals other than hoping another team is dumb enough to trade 4 1sts for Brunson.
Hoping OG stays out of a walking boot long enough to fetch 3 1sts.
No other contract has positive value.

Moral victory and it shows we can compete and take them to 5-6 games which is the ceiling this year like it or not.

I take it back. We can beat them but everyone from the trolls here to the water boy to Thibs to players must bring their A plus game and we need a lot of luck! But we can beat them.

In short we over invested in Mikal and OG, then played them out of position and limited their effectiveness (not to mention the redundancy in their games). It’s really awful asset allocation and outside of trading one of Bridges/Mikal the paths to building out the roster are so limited. I am our paths forward are trading Mitch Robinson and hoping what 2nd rd picks we can cobble together bring in an upgrade, the taxpayer MLE, or getting lucky with a 2nd rd pick.

It’s hard to criticize Leon because the organization has had more success over the last 5 years than the previous 25, and they are set up to be a top-4 seed for the next handful of years. But in terms of future flexibility, they are in as bad of shape if not worse than any team in the league.
