I really hope Jaylen sits this one out. Who cares if you make 3rd team All-NBA if you're messing up a far more important playoff run? And lots of people dont think JB will make an All NBA even if he hits 65 game threshold.

Me, I think JB has had a good year. His 3pt % and general shooting has been down but his free throw rate and FT % is up. He has the 2nd best +/- of his entire career and he has by far the best assist % of his career.

But forcing himself to play on an injured leg for no legit reason, is a truly mind-boggling misappraisal of what is important at this moment in the Celtics season and in JB's own career and chance to cement his legacy as an athlete. Baffling. I hope he comes to his senses and sits.

If Brown plays it will be totally transparent it is for a shot at NBA awards. This really smacks of Kemba playing in that All Star Game. This team is essentially giving up a chance at NBA history by sitting everyone EXCEPT Brown. Brown has to get 15 minutes in 2 more games to be eligible. We all watched yesterday, and I find it hard to believe resting wouldn't be better.

Yeah, it makes no sense not to rest a sore knee. Usually knee pain calls for "Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation," and avoiding basketball.
