It's elder abuse. Sending out an old man to provide toughness. It's so shameful it's comedic.

it's like if we had beef with another forum on here and sent wingo to deal with it

When we have better morals than the team you know it's been a horrendous season.

Yeah idk about KAT giving effort. Too many times he is ball watching and does the laziest close outs ever. Thats why he’s literally graded at the bottom of centers on defense on metrics. We never had that problem before.

like i said, he sucks (feet and awareness) but he does give effort. that's why he makes so many stupid defensive fouls. if i didn't compare the effort level to randle's you would have let it rock  but i'm saying if your starting PF is gonna suck at defense (whether due to ability like kat or due to feeling exempt from it like randle) him being 7 ft down low just makes mitch's job much easier than 6'9 does

Idk even his fouls are just lazy too.

Even at PF, KAT give up the highest FG% on isolations in the playoffs last year. Hes just a cone. It’s going to be extremely difficult to win a championship with him at any position.

no matter what position, teams are gonna target him and try to switch their guys onto him. but at least you'd have mitch at the rim once guys blow by him.

The issue is that Mitch isn’t the same as he used to be and is prob never going to be a full time starter again due to his injuries. So we’re pretty much cooked

KAT is Evan Fournier on defense at center, we were trying to figure out different ways to use Evan so he would be a net positive but he always limited the team's ceiling. Once Thibs benched him the headache was over. KAT is much better offensively but still gives the team too many problems to overcome and everybody else has to work harder.

Eventually we’re gonna have to get rid of KAT the same way. It’s inevitable

The main problem is we trade our war chest for Rip Hamilton. Everything else is nitpicking. We wasted our resources on a nice lil role player when we needed a 2nd creator. It's putting way too much pressure in Brunson. He has absolutely no relief. No one else on this roster can create. Our only other creator is posting up Kat at the 3point line and that's like watching an injured giraffe run away from a pack of lions. It's gross.

Like I said before, we were better off running it back and saving our picks for Kessler and Sexton. You get a rim protector and a 6th man along with the same core.

Idk, paying a kings ransom to ang for some role players would have been similar to a mikal move. Leon fcked up by not giving iHart more years on his initial deal if were going that route. But like I said that's nitpicking.

Wasting bench money and star resources on mikal is what's going to doom this team.

If they decide that's a direction they don't want to go......

We have a 2031 pick tied to him. We are committed. They're going to throw the biggest bag at him. Were stuck. There isn't any pivoting that gonna happen.

Hard to believe that's true or someone else would have jumped on that. But sure if that's all it was I'd rather have that package than mikal for 8(I'm a fan of increasing this number for the dramatics. That's a nice touch) picks.
