Good point. To put in perspective how far this team is from being a championship contender, if you just swapped Josh Hart for a 1st ballot Hall of Famer we still wouldn't be favored. Capped out and no picks and a moron for a coach with no interest in developing young players barring meteors hitting others teams planes there's just no path to a finals.

Relax. Meteors? Damn.

He might give us a tiny chance to win if we're up 40 in game 7 with a minute to go

The Knicks could win a championship in the next three years. We've only seen the team healthy for two games this season, one where they almost beat the Celtics. Favored or not this is the best chance they've had since the 90s

You've only seen the team healthy for 2 games for good reason.
We have some fragile players, who play tons of minutes.
What would make any sane person think they'd get healthier as they age and play under this coach?
We did almost beat the Celtics once in the regular season.
I agree this is the best chance they've had since the 90s, but that's like saying this mornings turd was the most appetizing this month. You'd never eat a turd.

CAA, garbage fake front office run by a clueless player agent.

I'd be waiting for the meteor to hit MSG and stymie the title.

Deuce started the season highly confident. Showed leadership, talking to rookies about playing hard for Thibs in garbage minutes. Then how was he rewarded? No consistency or trust from the coach. Guy got his chain yanked. It makes total sense that he’s having a rough season.

Not sure what season you're watching. He's the first guard off the bench to the point of awkwardness when he's coming in for JB. He got the starting PG nod when JB went down, and looked terrible at running the offense. This has nothing to do with Thibs and everything to do with Deuce.

I see everything through Thibs colored glasses.
I don’t know what I’m watching anymore

True. Engine failure or a bird strike are more likely and what people should be wishing for.

Josh Hart does many things fairly well---with him it is mostly coaching which makes him look bad. Thiba puts him in a position where his weaknesses get exposed. Ideally, Hart is a 28minutes guy off the bench, bringing energy and that do mentality. He is not that guy to play 40 minutes a night taking the last shot in regulation. This is all on coaching....Josh should be nowhere near that list if we had a sensible coach. He is a casualty of Thibs' ancient coaching and zero creativity.

When you have JB, KAT, OG, Bridges, Deuce, Shamet and Payne on the roster----it is just insane to put Hart on the court with 3 seconds to go. Just insane...makes him look bad because he gets put into a situation which doesn't fit his skillset. It is like you would sub in Mitch when the opposing team is looking to foul and put the Knicks at the FT line. Just silly silly coaching.

Can't win against good teams with Josh Hart as a starter. I thought Deuce might be an answer for 5 out, but
a) Thibs is r*tarded
b) Deuce is an NBA midget

Fire Thibs
Trade Hart

Doomed from the start when it started to look obvious that Hart was starting after the KAT trade. I said was basically 3 for 1 because Hart going into the starting lineup destroyed the idea of the Knicks having a tough bench and it didn't take 80 games in to come to that conclusion.

If Brunson was wise, he be throwing his Villanova buddies under the bus via conversations with his dad that get back channeled to Leon.

Hart is afraid to shoot
Mikal is softer than baby sh*t.

Can't take too many more games of Mikal driving to within 2 feet of the foot, veering away 4 more feet and then taking a fadeaway jumper so he winds up 12 feet away.

No wonder he's never missed a game.

I wouldn't even put this guy in the same sentence as AC Green.

Green actually played with heart and grit, two things that Mikal has never possessed.

Return to New York Knicks
