2025 Off-Season - Let's Say All of the Following Actually Happen: Jokic, Giannis, KD and Booker Get Traded

Post#1 » by NYG » Sat Apr 12, 2025 1:43 am

If the Nuggets, Bucks, and Suns all go full rebuild and Giannis/Jokic see what happened to Luka and realize it's all just a business and their loyalty doesn't matter and the Suns co-stars decide to demand out as well. What would be the four trades?

So basically... Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, Giannis, and Jokic all get traded in the off-season. What does each deal look like?

Furthermore... do Lillard and Murray get traded too?

At this point, they may not have a choice.

OKC and Hou would battle it out for Joker / Giannis, but neither would bid too high, because they would basically default into the guy that's left after the first trade.

And then Phoenix basically boned, because their picks would then be further spread out, and Houston is likely out of the bidding, unless they rolled it into one of the first two trades. Maybe Durant to whoever has Mil and Dens picks, while they get there back.

Someone would probably steal Durant and Booker for basically nothing.

Counter point:

Booker and Giannis traded for each other. Joker moved to OKC for a haul and Houston left scrambling and over-bid for Durant.

Think if Joker was available, Milwaukee would take him. Then if Giannis was available, Denver would take him. No reason not to keep a top 2 player on your roster if you can.

Denver can trade Gordon for a center. Milwaukee can try out Joker/Portis/Kuz/Green/Dame

Bookers top trade package comes from Houston imo. Due to the picks and the fit. But I do think there would be a lot of teams bidding (CLT, Detroit, Sac, Orl, etc)

KD.. you need to find a desperate team to pay big for a 37 year old. Hoping Kai’s injury took Dallas out of the desperate list. But no idea.

Seems these four names only get traded in a 2K offseason though

In the Bucks blow it up hypothetical... would Portland take Dame back?

Yea I'm sure Giannis would ask for a trade to Phoenix to be in an even worse situation.

Probably not at an agreeable price.

As a trade asset, I'd have Giannis as far more valuable than Booker, and I don't see how the Suns could bridge the gap without giving up KD as well, and then the resulting team makes zero sense.

I don't see the Suns as a realistic destination for a perennial 1st team all-NBA player like Giannis.

If the suns gets Giannis for Booker (who I like, good player) Milwaukee should lose their NBA team

As your fellow HOU fan Lars likes to say: you're entitled to your opinion.

I think they're similar in value. Suns can throw in Dunn(awesome defender when given opportunity) to bridge the gap.

Which teams after Houston and OKC, could/would make the best offers?

Orlando, if they give up Paolo or Franz( which they would to get Joker/Gianiss/Booker) is the obvious choice for #3. Also maybe ATL as well.

Miami could put together a decent looking return too.

I keep hearing whispers locally that Durant-to-MIN has legs, but I have given up trying to come up with a realistic trade.
