Tbf he’s backing it up with a very similar shooting year. Detroit is smarter though for making him a bench gunner. Ideal shooting 6th man.

I will be putting up a Pacers lead up thread after the regular season ends on Sunday. We'll discuss the series here and in the team thread until then.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

He played 30 minutes including the whole 4th. And Rollins played well in the first.

I get that but I’d rather start my best 5 man lineup. Can’t keep running Kuz and TP together and expect newfound success.

Some kudos to Doc for the way our zone has looked. It’s the best it’s ever looked since we became contenders, and it’s been a big part of our wins lately.

It also helps give Bobby much more utility on the court which is huge for us.

Giannis +22 and KPJ -3 for the game is awfully telling when the 2 of them play a huge chunk of minutes together in the 4th quarter and win. I know +/- is volatile stat but it certainly looks like a tribute to Docs clunky lineups throughout the game(s). Thank God we’ve stumbled upon this closing lineup because it certainly looks legit. Not trying to be negative after the big win but I’m just saying. The Brook and Kuzma minutes have been pretty bad vs the last 2 good teams we’ve played, I don’t really like that. Huge win above anything else, I didn’t think the whistles would be so even and we’d struggle but they proved me wrong like I was hoping. Bucks in 6

Brook badly needs a week off. I’m confident he will look like a new man in the playoffs. We cooked him this regular season

Low turnovers is what is key. No more turbo into a wall, no more charges. Hes making the roght decision almost every time.

Eh, it's not like it's some character flaw. He was having fun until he wasn't. He's allowed to get mad and we're allowed to laugh at it. I was surprised by how mad he got, but I'm grateful for it.

Anybody would be mad in that situation including Giannis. I love trash talk and celebrating and I thought Giannis' initial shimmy was hilarious. But then he kept going and following Beasley all over the court. He ignored referees and others telling him to back off which is where Giannis lost me. It's really not that serious though.

That is funny stuff. Delightful. No mean posturing, just a tall playful man smiling and doing a shimmy. And it looks like he reached down to help Beasley up. When Beasley refused, Giannis enjoyed the shimmy more. I think it made him feel good physically, like any kid who does a dance or some body movement and it feels good. So then he kept doing it. The action itself created the unexpected emotion Giannis felt.

But he's Greek and should move his hips better than that.

We saw the highs and the lows from KPJ tonight.

I can live with some of the contested shots, even if they had no chance of going in and looked ugly. The stupid non shooting foul in the bonus with 30 seconds to go in the 3rd quarter and the flagrant with just a few minutes to go were inexcusable. That's not winning basketball. I know he's still relatively young but he's gotta be smarter than that.

Still, i dont know where we would be right now if not for him. He is a needle mover.

Exactly so. It's not that serious. I think Giannis was incredulous that Beasley took it so hard. He wasn't trolling him, he was just like dude you've been to my house.

KPJ-GTJ-Green-Giannis lineup has a +38.9 net rating in 111 minutes lol. That ranks 4th out of 952 lineups this year across the entire league with 100+ min.

We can beat the Pacers without Dame. I am begging Doc to give Giannis a fighting chance in that series. Just start that group and play them heavy minutes and he's capable of getting us to round 2.

The way Giannis plays pg has a clear but very effective pattern. He brings the ball up slowly always looking to see if he can pass to one of the shooters who might be open. Once he gets closer yo the circle, the defense starts to panic and his gravity pulls multiple defenders. Then he passes brilliantly to an open shooter or decides to push his own way to the hoop.

When kpj brings the ball up he is very quick and he has this great understanding with Giannis. The offensive speed is v high with Kpj as point. Koj is a natural creator and a v good defender

Yes Dame is a top 75 player and can make 3s very well often from a long distance.

But he is very slow unlike kpj. So the whole offense slows down and loses its fluidity. Dame is also a much worse defender. He is a good scorer though

I am not sure how long KPJ can sustain his play, but dude is replacing Middleton on offense and Jrue on defense. He has been a menace. Steals, rebound, draining 3's, getting to the rim at will, eliminating easy shots for teams, facilitating like crazy for his teammates. He looks like a video game cheat code. Just fast, athletic and impressive court awareness. Like, He sees things develop in slow motion. Legit talented.

Put up 94 shots and out rebounded a team. That feels like 2 steps in the right direction.

Let the bench guys get those Bonzi Colston minutes next game.

It seems like Giannis needing to be a big brother to KPJ has calmed Giannis. They're each other's emotional support animal.
