Gsw has to win against Clippers first, who are 3:0 against Warriors and have to win to make playoffs. Both teams need to win to make playoffs, it's like another play-in game.

Let’s avoid the Clippers.
All of these teams are so good, LBJ’s groin re-injury(?) yesterday worries me. If he’s not healthy and aggressive on defense, it’ll be a very tough task to win the west.

Whether Clippers win or not, don't they remain above warriors? I don't think they will have incentive to win the last game

Clippers are 7th, if they lose and Denver wins.

Alrighty then. Clippers beat gsw it is.
However who's to say Minnesota is the better match up than gsw?
They are all bad matchups for us (eventually beating them in a series but will give us our work cut out) except for Memphis but we can't get them now.

I'd rather play Minn personally. But we'll see....if your gonna lift the trophy, you can't hide. Let other teams hide from us.
God....I just picture our 2000-2001 Laker squad against this current playoff competition. It'd be a slaughter. NBA needs to figure some stuff out.

I suppose they destroyed everyone back then....so doesn't exactly make my point =0)
Let's go with the 1999-2000 Lakers....had a few long series. THEY would crush everyone today as well.

Not sure. That would be one hell of a tough series. I think we’d take them but it’ll probably take seven games. Things like a small injury could tip the scale. Their big three is a force. Kerr is a great coach. Winning culture. Tough team.

Crickets these days....
Lebron: get that groin stronger and healthier. We can rebuild him. We have the technology.
JJ: Figure out a way to beat Minnesota
Doncic: Let off the hooka and beer for a bit. Please stay conditioned. I worry about this guy, several days off and he can add 15 pounds of fat in no time.

The calm before the storm… Nice $6MM reference.
Luka just got back into shape after a long recovery, should be in prime conditioning for the finals.

They say Redick has a few aces up his sleeve besides going small, things he hasn’t shown in games yet. Someone speculated it’s a pnr situation with LBJ and Don.
It could also be going big, I think. I’d try it. Defensive suffocation. Vando can hang with most PGs on defense. DFS can guard most SGs. Rui can hang with most SFs. LBJ can guard any PF. Jax in the middle. That’s a tall lineup. All are switchable. Hell for the opponent’s offense.
If the offense doesn’t flow — which it will because it’ll consist of mostly fast breaks stemming from defense and rebounding — insert Luka or Reaves instead of Vando.

Yeah I heard on laker analyst somewhere that we should not play vando whenever Gobert is in.
JJ, although cerebral and methodical and though we give tremendous kudos to him for the great season he has had this year, I think he owes a lot of this season's success (and hopefully future playoffs success) to his two senior assistant coaches who are heavyweights in their own right (Scott Brooks and Nate McMillan)
Just to remind everyone, here's what I copied pasted from nba.com:
"
McMillan, who led his teams to 11 postseason appearances, owns a 760-668 (.532) head coaching record and currently stands 18th all-time on the NBA’s career victories list. On the international stage, McMillan served as an assistant coach for the United States men’s national team, earning Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2008.
Brooks was named the 2009-10 NBA Coach of the Year after guiding the Thunder to 50 wins after the team won just 22 games the previous season. Overall, Brooks led his teams to eight playoff berths, including a trip to the NBA Finals in 2012 and Western Conference Finals appearances in 2014 and 2011. He has four 50-win seasons to his credit, including a 60-22 mark with OKC during the 2012-13 season.

I love those 2 guys, Nate has always done well and Brooks was great in OKC but a bit of disappointment in Washington.
It kind of opened my eyes that coaches can reach that limitation impacting the team if the GM OR POBO is pretty bad in hiring hardworking competent staff esp assistant coaches, trainers, scouts etc.
Equally important is having strong work ethic from your core players and that is what happened to the Suns IMO.
