I wonder if the decision came down to more of a locker room perspective. Is ORob or Castleton jelling with the team? How’s his attitude? Does he follow instructions in practice well? Etc.
it might just be a vibes or understanding your role thing.
ORob also might be looking for more money overseas.

I’m indifferent on this…only because I couldn’t wait to see Orlando’s last game as a Raptor

Orlando Robinson shot 38% from 3 his last 27 games, he seemed to be really disliked around here but he was a nice backup stretch 5. I assume they want to leave the roster spot non guaranteed for potential rookie deals?

Surprised by this but either guy won’t be game changers. Don’t stress over it, we are just spectators after all

I'm not sure stretch is the right description for Orlando. But he played well for sure. Cost us losses if anything.
edit: meaning wins. reverse order stuff.
he's a perfectly fine 3 C. Hopefully he fines greener pastures if that's what he wants

Re: Raps sign Colin Castleton to 10-day / UPDATE: Signed to Standard Deal (Pg. 3)
It is a non-guaranteed deal so he gets a bit more runway.
It is interesting because I felt that ORob was a better shooter and a bigger body but he lacked in passing and playmaking.
Castleton is like Olynyk who is like Jontay Porter. Maybe because of the lack of shooting he is more like Poeltl. This is a type of big you can run offense through off handoffs.
I think Alex Condon or even Danny Wolf become more likely draft options. It is becoming obvious we want skill over just size and lane intimidation. Maybe Markovic is a target but his defense is so soft.

I think we're leaning towards a centre in the draft, so Castleton is like insurance, in case we don't find one, or if Chomche is further away (during summer league) than the front office expects.

The tea will only be brewed after the lottery is held. If we get top 4 we will likely not draft a C
