Best shooter in the league, best shooting big man in league history

For what will likely be remembered as a frustrating year, pretty awesome that we watched Bam, and Tyler turn a corner to become better players, we watched a rookie find a spot as promising starter in Ware, and Larsson looking like an NBA player…plus added Mitchell and Anderson.

Goes to show you how much distractions can matter in the NBA.

Lots of positives, I agree.

Trim the fat and streamline this baby next year.

If they follow this prescription, what's Mia's over/under on wins next season?

And what is their playoff ceiling?

If we follow my rx of KD, Fears and Fleming, then Im thinking 53 wins.

Playoff ceiling would be Finals.

Thats my early entry for RBW's prediction thread.

Playoff ceiling next year is repeat as champions.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

That doesn’t seem right at all. If we get a lottery pick that means forget KD because the mental gymnastics need to sell him coming here just don’t add up. If we make the playoffs, good bye pick but then you have a shot to convince KD to want to come here. It’s an either or situation unfortunately.

42 wins ... first round exit. This roster sucks. We have next to no starting caliber talent.

I refuse to reinvest myself in this team until they revamp the roster and quit feeding me the same or worse every year.

No to CP3. At this point in his career it's like having Lowry all over again.
CP3 Experience and political arguments in the league are invaluable

Fair if that's what you meant by "trim the fat and streamline"

Let's say that the longshot of landing KD and Fears doesnt happen.

What's their ceiling then?

High Bam/Herro reps next season for continued development and continued growth from the young guys going into summer 2026 with max cap space

And what will be the results of Trump's tariffs? And where will the stock market be in Q4 of 2035?

KD isn’t a Neanderthal I doubt he would view the situation as binary as that

He knows ball and nearly signed with us pre Warriors simply for Spo. Spo I really feel could get career high efficiency out of KD. Everytime KD has had an opportunity he has expressed interest in coming here, but that timing has never worked out. I think both sides have something to offer the other in a potential fit. What Miami lacks desperately is on ball scoring, and the ability to close out games.

Give them a top 5 scoring talent of all time, and you fix that problem, while also allowing Bam and Herro to settle into the roles they should be playing to compliment him.

They could do some really interesting things putting KD at the top of the key and working off ball actions with Bam and Herro, with Ware as the primary roll guy with KD and then you just need somebody to corner camp opposite side for spacing purposes. You could live in something like that for entire quarters down the stretch.

Believe it or not but there are people in this world that didn’t parlay Jaime and Pat Connaughton to finish with at least 40-10-5 today with a Keaton Wallace triple double, could never be me. Saw that one coming from a mile away

I missed playoff atmosphere basketball, I’m excited for the playoffs despite this **** show of a team. We’re winning the championship next year so this down season doesn’t bother me

One down year to rebuild and replenish.

KD, Fears and Fleming added to this roster and unprecedented health and we got trophy 4.

Kawhi looks amazing and playoff Jimmy may still be a thing, they’ve been without question the best 2 players in the game.

Imagine a playmaker like Harden next to Bam/Ware, Zubac should give him half his paychecks

Looks like we either get a top 4 pick, pick 11th, or convey our pick to OKC.

Return to Miami Heat
