The Blazers could probably do a combination of deals that expire after next season like: Anfernee Simons, Deandre Ayton, etc.

If you want to dump Kuzma, we could add in Jerami Grant.

This intrigued me. I wonder if he’d want to go back?

I’m thinking Dame for Simons but the question is what else to balance it out on the salary side. Grant is a terrible contract, just terrible. I think I’d want back our two pick swaps and 28 pick. And I don’t even know if I want to do that to take Grant’s contract. It’s $32, $34 and $36 million of dead money after this point.

I think the best asset the Blazers could send back is Scoot Henderson as a #3 overall pick. Scoot put up some monster games this year. He's still inconsistent, but he showed some impressive games this season.

what does "as a number 3 overall pick" mean in this context? at this point, whatever he has put on film is infinitely more important than his draft slot.

Sideline reporter now saying clot is 60 to 70% gone and Dame plans to travel with the team. She did say clot has to be completely gone to play. Lastly said the clot has moved lower which is a good sign.

They said that the clot would need to be gone for Dame to play earlier.

Dame and Connaughton (Portland reunion tour) for Simons, Scoot, Grant and our 2030 pick swap back.

I am not comfortable with two Blazer fans in this thread. Pick one. I am not a crackpot.

Why are we talking about trading Dame back to Portland, this isn't Costco they don't want him back. They are rebuilding and have 0 use for him. Amy Dame trade needs to be a fringe playoff team or a playoff team that's going for it and needs scoring help. Orlando is an obvious spot, I'm sure there are a few others.

Here's a list of who'd more practically be interested in Dame: PHX, MN, DAL, MIA, LAL, SAC, HOU, ORL, MEM, NO.

Whether something could be worked or not w/ those teams is another matter. There are a lot of factors that make it tricky, like Dame's cap #.

Portland's been good in the 2nd half, and might have made the play-in if they hadn't tanked at the end of a few games.

Heck no. Why even trade if we get nothing back?

That’s actually a decent haul for a soon to be 35 year old Dame.

Do we think we'll get a schedule today? The 1/8 games are basically guaranteed to be Sunday correct?

We'll know our games sometime tonight. Last year 1/8 were on Sunday. Bucks/Indy last year (3/6) were also on Sunday for game 1.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Still feel like it's a long shot for a Dame return and I really hope the Bucks don't lead us on like Doc was doing around Giannis last year.

Doc has been surprisingly quiet the past week+. Marques said Dame's clot is about 60% gone, there is no way he's back anytime soon.

What's the good part? Grant, the worst contract in basketball? Simons, the no defense tweener guard? Or Scoot, the intriguing but raw PG who'd be 3rd string here?

Simons, the numbers are solid and he is just coming into his prime, comps are also impressive:

Grant has the experience and recent scoring ability and Scoot as you said is young and intriguing. Not sure why tweener is even a thing now that position-less basketball is more common.

Maybe because a Portland fan came in & asked about a trade. :dontknow:
