Mystics legit started 0-12, had another 5 game losing streak, and then ended the season 7-4 to not only miss the playoffs but to also decrease their odds to get Paige lol

It was prime Grunfeldian anti-tanking at its best.

Just like refusing to draft the best and most marketable player because you don't want to deal with everything that comes with that to take a rookie that you refuse to even play feels very much like something the old Wizards brass would do.

This firing was a year too late... if not two years.

wtf last time I checked the mystics were last place and basically a lock to get page and they screwed it up?? Haha that’s so wiz. Also they were idiots to pass on Angel Reese. Not that I think she’s better than Edward’s (she’s probably slightly better) but she’s a Face of the franchise and insane marketability whether you like her or not.

They battled injuries pretty much the entire season...and unfortunately lol....they got healthy at the wrong time.

I mean in any other draft you offer 3, 4 and 6 for #1 and it will probably get accepted but Paige is the prize and not sure if Dallas goes for it.

I don't follow the WNBA at all. I had no idea the Mystics had a father son duo at GM/head coach. :laugh:

They were both on the Mystics when they won the championship (father was both coach/gm) although the son at that time had a lesser role.

Seems like the father is a good coach according to fans (has won 3 championships in his career) problem of course is that they should have been tanking last season.
