He has played 51 games this season and he played a total of 54 last season.

Anyone else notice Trae has gone away from his floater? Rarely see him use it now.

Trae *uses it much less frequently. And it only rarely goes down for him.

It's really perplexing. (That was his most consistent shot!!!)

2pt % this season is .478 and his career low is .476

It's difficult to win when your point guard and first option can't shoot and he's limited on offense.

A big part of it might be not having a heavy dose of downhill PnR.

Now it's more perimeter movement and definitive action into lobs and cuts.

Would be nice to still see him use his floater more though.

Hawks’ Trae Young explain his reasons for taking GM job with the Oklahoma Sooners

On Monday, Young and the school announced that the four-time All-Star accepted a role as an assistant general manager of the Sooners’ basketball program. “It was something that was brought to me and things like that,” Young said after Hawks shootaround Tuesday. “And we have been in discussion for a minute now, and I’m always trying to see how I can help my former team and university. Anytime I have a chance I can go watch them play in person, I always try to. So, it was a no-brainer. “I was going to be involved with the school at some point in my career. But I think this is just the perfect time. Obviously, right now, with everything going on with NIL and all that stuff, and I don’t necessarily have to be there every day and be involved every day, but there’s certain things that I want to be involved in that can help our program continue to be better each and every year, and I want to see us win a championship soon. So this is the way I can get myself a ring.”

1. Very cool opportunity - even though he was only a student there for a total of 8 months.
2. My guess, he'll primarily be used as a celebrity recruiter for the football and basketball programs.
3. That last statement is very telling
