This is still a trash list.
Cody Williams and Brandon Carlson over Walter? LMAOOO

I don't play in pools so I don't know enough. But the point remains. If we had 3 FRPs last summer and came out with these results....the hardcore tank ppl would perceive that draft completely differently. Even though the results are the same.

There's a weird ideological thing going on in the perceptive value of picks. When we conveyed to the Spurs...everyone was saying it was a completely wasted season. Yet the actual results suggest it may end up being one of the best drafts in franchise history.

3 guys in the top 30? Arguably 4 guys in the top 35 or so? Ppl spend so much energy praising OKC for having 3 or 4 FRPs in the same summer. Well what we accomplished is what one could expect from such a summer. Where is all the praise and celebration?

It's like it only counts if you actually made 3 or 4 first round selections (rather than achieving the same outcome). Weird.

This was an incredibly tough choice for me between Mogbo, Shead, and Walter but I wound up going with Walter because he had the best offence out of the three while they all showed some good offensive flashes.

Battle was great too and should have a good career, I just couldn’t rate him with the other three since his defence wasn’t up to their levels.

All things considered though I see lots of reasons for optimism.

Mogbo has Draymond Green type potential. He showed that in the month of April and in spurts throughout the season.

it is quite possible that this draft and battle replenished 80% of our bench unit. that's crazy.

Masai and team absolutely nailed this draft. Too bad Filipowski was groomed or I feel we would have drafted him and been perfect in this draft.

If Filipowski was not groomed, then he wouldn't have been available at that draft slot in the first place.

We had 4 of the top 24 (of 104 rookies that played this yr) in rookie possessions too. Not bad.

Or for a league wide perspective, the 4 rookies were in the top 259 (Battle was 259 with 2222 possessions) of 569 players who played atleast 6 possessions this yr.

They actually drafted an entire bench unit that could all be the 6-10 guys as soon as next season aside from Chomche.
Ulrich was on his way to a call up and potential rotation spot next season if not for the injury.
This was a very productive draft for the team and gives them the leeway to pick best player available with their lotto pick.
