Giddey has been questionable with the wrist since the LA games a long time ago. It sucks that he's not 100% but OTOH he's proven to produce incredibly well even injured. I think the main noticeable thing is that it's affected his 3P shooting, but you shouldn't be winning/losing a play-in game based on a gameplan around Giddey's 3P shots.

An older report said "flexor carpi ulnaris tendinopathy."

why would you want the Magic over Atlanta? Orlando is 7-3 in the last 10 with Wagner and Banchero putting up over 50 ppg.

Styles make fights.

Atlanta presents a deadly pick and roll game with Trae and Capela. Then you have elite wing defenders like Daniels and Johnson.. these guys could limit our offense by limiting Giddey. Then of course, Niang and Levert.. historically Bulls killers all their careers.

Orlando on the other hand is the more talented team but inexperience, weak shooting and so-so wing defenders that we can exploit. Wagner and Banchero can score 50pts total easily against our guys at least in theory but then we have guys who can limit their other 3 players on the floor. I could even see Vuc dominating Carter all night just with pure motivation against his former team.

So Heat then I would take Magic. We win both!

No matter what version of the Heat are out there I'll almost always have some nerves when playing an Erik Spoelstra team.

The Heat probably worry me more than either Atlanta or Orlando.

Having Lonzo or Tre would be a huge help, even if their scoring isn't there yet both would be huge for having someone to guard Herro.

Well for one they can’t shoot.

Orlando is the #1 defensive team in the league giving up 105 ppg. They are also #2 in turnovers forced at 16.2 & they limit teams to an NBA best 31 3PA per game.

What does that have to with them being easier to defend because they can’t shoot?

The Magic have beaten us in 7 out of the last 10 games. We've had a lot more success against the Hawks.

Well i assume you want the Bulls to win right? Playing against the #1 defense while they have 2 guys who can go for 30+... I would much rather play Atlanta.

Coby just needs to work his magic a couple more games and we're in it'll push us over the top.

Yeah I think there's a lot more to exploit vs the Hawks instead of Orlando. Attack Trae on defense and take away his lobs, and I think we have a chance. They also don't have Capela and are one of the worst defensive teams post the all star break (they're closer to the Wizards defensively than we are to the Cavs or Celtics).

I know Orlando is one of the worst shooting teams in the league, but if they somehow can't miss, then we'd be in for a long night.

KC just said this was the highest scoring season in franchise history. Kudos to the 2024-25 squad, including Lavine who helped achieve that.

It's crazy to hear that because they only won 39 games, but the best Bulls teams are from a different era where scoring wasn't a big as it is now.

Lol I know you think they have two superstars. They don’t. I’m not convinced they have one.

Young is harder to defend than either of them.

The same Young the Bulls held to 22 points on 4-12 shooting and 6 turnovers in last years Play In?

Bulls vs Heat, the annual play in tradition game lol. I don’t care what anyone says about play ins but these games are actually entertaining to watch. I like one game eliminations better than a whole series.

Bulls might be the slight favorite but I expect Spoelstra/Riley to have their guys ready and will most definitely outsmart Billy.

It’s going to be a tough one but hopefully Bulls play their game like they have lately and pull through. Miami is probably a more dangerous opponent than the Hawks.

Very intrigued in seeing how this young team plays in an elimination game against a coached Spo team. This is not going to be easy Imo. The season sweep is irrelevant.

Is there a YouTube channel that puts out like a long-form replay of the game highlights afterwards (that doesn't involve subscriptions)? I work that night and have no access to the broadcast. I have a devious plan to avoid reading anything about it, having my buddy email me a link I can simply click and full-screen somehow without spoiling the result with the video's title, etc.

First time in game 1 of the Play In though...

Probably deserves its own thread. Bulls were 6th in scoring offense and 3rd worst in scoring defense. If you purely look at the team offensively, its easy to get excited.

And all those saying that goal 1 is a defense and rebounding center are correct. No position impacts defense more.

No Ayo or Caruso now. Ayo in particular generally did a great job guarding him. We’ll see if Coby is up to it.
