Wow, so you're saying even Griffin is better than Bud? Kind of bold.

Lol, Vogel won with them.

KD played 16 more games for Vogel. They had a winning record with KD playing, slightly worse rate but I'm not sure how much it matters if the players don't want to be coached.

32-24 when both Booker and KD played.

Vogel went 5-2 without KD.

OK, so I'm not sure what your overall point is. Did Vogel do a good job and they shouldn't have run him out after a single year? I'm not going to argue with it. The bottom line is this team has been arguably the most disappointing in the entire league under three different coaches.

I bet your brain would explode if I also told you who the two highest on-court net-rating starters were for us last year.

I'm lazy to use google, I'll guess it was Beasley and Middleton?

He’s a good dude.

This is the part that irritates me. We hung on to Middleton too long because we wanted to make Giannis happy. The thing is winning makes him happy. Should have sold high on Middleton. Instead, we got Kuzma for him and AJ Johnson.

Communication and social skills are pretty underrated and important aspects of being a good GM (something weirdos like Sam Hinkie never understood). But I also would like a little more ruthlessness from a guy whose job it is to make the best basketball decisions in a pretty cutthroat business. I have no clue what happened behind the scenes, but we have an ample track record at this point for Horst that indicates he always seems too willing to meet/cave to another team's price point. There's a middle ground between the self-righteous douche-baggery of the David Griffins/Daryl Moreys, and the affable pushover nature of Horst.

There was never a good time to trade Middleton (including now). Don't botch every single other move and it wouldn't matter.

Giannis is awesome, not surprising at all, and I praise his awesomeness weekly.

Giannis had a negative net rating without Dame that season, even if you gave him Khris.

fairly hilarious to blame bud for the pheonix woes. thats worse than blaming aaran for the jets..... allen for the bills playoff woes. ugh

bud caught lightning in a bottle for us initially. no doubt. but he also knew giannis. knew the tendencies. knew the challenges. knew what needed to happen to be successful. he should have been his coach until we moved on. thats for sure imo.

was he our sloan and did he have a second run in him after the stockton/malone years? maybe. maybe not. but coaches are like ****. everybody has one. we needed somebody. he would have done
