Oh that sucks. Minny couldn’t make the trade cause of salary cap constraints. Now KD is confirmed to the Knicks for sure 8-)

Wolves didn't want to pay KAT. So, I don't see them giving an older KD a 2 year extension. The extension will be mandatory. If I had to venture a guess, I think the Wolves were trying to trade for KD (without an extension) by selling the Suns on cap relief. This was a no-go.

He'll likely get the full max which is an additional 2 years @ 124 million (so 62 million a year). This makes him more expensive than KAT.

I think it was Phoenix's "demands" that likely torpedoed it in pick compensation.

i actually heard on a podcast that unless they involve a 3rd team, a trade for kd has to pretty much be 1 for 1. Well we do have 1 that works :lol:
