The only consistency of our offense being bottom 10 since Dwight has left has been bad front offices. There's a reason why coaches like Nurse, Spo, Budenholzer, etc can't make miracle work out of regular seasons (Spo can in the playoffs though) with injuries/bad pieces for a specific thing (like the Suns and defense). I don't mind getting assistants but Magic fans blame coaches every single time for things players just need to be better at.

Why not both? You need a lead guard to shift Suggs over to the 2...but Mosley's offense has also been inept. Not running more PNRs or getting Paolo the ball inside the arc is on the coaching.

Because this is the same song and dance for years now. Magic fans blame coaches for things that players need to be better at, like making wide open shots lol. They are forced to start Cory Joseph because nobody else is consistent enough of a guard. That's how bad it is.

Paolo isn't some great inside presence from the post position - at all. And it's not something they can do with any consistency because nobody is guarding anybody else on the perimeter. Immediate doubles are coming. If it's on a smaller player, sure.

That doesn't mean that the solution doesn't require improvements in both. Even with the crap PGs, your coaching isn't using them as well as they could be.

And against these Hawks Paolo has had a smaller player on him a lot of the time. With JJ hurt they just don't have anybody who can keep him from bulldozing his way to the rim if they didn't have so long to crash the paint while he works his way there from behind the 3pt line.

Those two possessions from KCP were bad, nothing else has been. ATL is scraping and clawing at everything in the paint with no calls. Doesn't matter anyway though, it looks like the team that actually plays basketball and not just free throw hunting is going to win anyway.

I'm just not in the business of firing a coach that improved the team 12+ wins every season (and probably would've been near 50 wins without injuries this year) since he's been here with one of the youngest teams in the league and literally NO moves from our front office. Get assistants? Sure. Switch up offensive styles? Great.

Firing him? Monumentally stupid.

Honestly, if we win this game, we know that we have no shot at winning against the Celtics. The only thing I want out of that series is Celtics fans respect. We are a bad shooting team but we can defend and our team don’t quit.
