But my larger point is true: when has a team that disappointed all year and ended badly suddenly dominated a decent team like Detroit?
To SOME extent, the delusions feed this cycle of failure … in that sense, and kind of the OPPOSITE way of what SVG is saying (too much hope), the fans and media do help derail the team
