Also
Knicks on 0 or 1 day rest shot 36% from 3pt
Knicks on 2 day rest 40% from 3pt
Knicks on 3 day rest 44% from 3pt

that should be the difference in the series since the one thing that pistons is the most vulnerable is a floor spreading big

What are the Pistons shooting splits with similar rest?

It will probably be the only practice they will have before Saturday. Let's hope the coaching staff comes in prepared. They have yet to show they do their homework for big games let alone a playoff series.

I'd look at the Pistons record against above 500 teams. We basically only beat awful teams and the Bucks and Nugs -- both on the downslide.

Knicks are 0-14 vs. Cs, Cavs, LA teams and OKC.

Not 1, not 2, not 3 ... zero and fourteen.

Well, I'll tell you right now that AI won't deliver the correct answer:

As of now, there is no publicly available information or credible reports indicating that a user named "NY_Mentality85" has made any shooting threats toward "HarthorneWingo" or any other individual on the RealGM Knicks forum.

Our bench was a weak spot going into the season. Injuries compounded the weak bench.

we dealt depth. and i get the argument about developing the bench more with PT. but that also negates what kind of preparation is happening off the court that we don't see.

shamet just wasn't healthy. we're getting a taste of what he's really about and has done.

kolek is a good example of that notion. mans was a disaster on defense in those first minutes he got. by the time he got back on the floor a bit late in the season, we saw he was handling the rotations and point of attack a LOT better. still not great, but it was abysmal to start. and i was concerned about that in college. (this is coming from someone who LOVES kolek, spent hours watching him in Marquette hoping we would draft him, still see him as a perfect backup PG for brunson going forward, and scared my neighbors with how loud i yelled when we got him in the second round.)

True. We saw that with Hukporti as well. Dadiet not so much. McCullers looks like he could be “situational”. With Payne and Wright, I don’t see Kolek getting any burn but his defense did improve from the beginning of the season to the end.

Congrats on achieving your doctorate. Lots of work. Must feel good.

The Knicks are -425 to win the series in NBA playoffs odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook. The Pistons are +325.

Many keep repeating that even our "theoretical" bench would be short. I personally don't get it. With a healthy Mitch starting next to KAT our bench would be:

Hart
Deuce
Shamet
Precious
Payne

Now the bench is not well balanced. We have 3 shorter guards and only one PF really along with Hart. But Hart off the bench would be an instant 6th man of the year candidate and I tend to think that a bench energized by him would automatically elevate it's play. The only thing this bench would be truly lacking is a stretch big type of PF/C. I don't think this bench would have been any worse than Cleveland (pre Hunter trade) or OKC. Boston may still have a slight edge due to Horford but only due to him. To me Pritchard + Hauser + Kornet is not better than what we have. Horford may tip it slightly in their favor admittedly. That bench led by Josh Hart would be a solid, productive second unit.

Hukporti for me was a prime example of why I started to dislike Thibs throughout this season. Hukporti IMO showed enough to be deserving a consistent 20minutes a game, especially considering the fact that for many games Mitch AND Achiuwa were both out longterm. Huk showed solid ability on defense, some touch on offense and a lot of energy.

You left out Sims. That was the most egregious one.
