Defense will be his calling card. Seems like the exact opposite of Kuz

Kyle Kuzma is actually not a bad defender especially in his Lakers days.

At his best, Kuz didnt hurt you defensively. But mostly, he's been a negative defender throughout his career

Bryant projects to be a + defender in the NBA

So glad people are climbing on the Carter Bryant band-wagon. I've been high on him since last July.

Other than the consensus top guys 5 guys, the 3 guys I really like for us are Flemming, Bryant, and Sorber. I'd trade down to pick up and extra pick if we could, or flip one of Grady, Ochai, or Walter for one so we can get two of these guys.

I am unsure teams want to trade up, most likely giving up Agbagi and our 2nd round pick to trade up (don't think Dick has that much value).
And for Carter Bryant, I wouldn't be surprised team in the top 10 picks him.

I think you might be right. If not the top 10, then the lottery. He's got too high a floor with his baseline skillset (defense and three point shooting) with an unknown ceiling given his age and the lack of playing time at Arizona. I'd easily take him over McNeely and Demin, and I think he'll be a better player than K-Nipple in the long run.

Fair to say Bryant is a taller version of Ochai?

I would say that his floor is an OG sized Ochai.

Masai saying we need a big man.

1 Khaman Maluach - Duke
2 Derik Queen - Maryland
3 Joan Beringer - KK Cedevita Junior (Croatia)
4 Danny Wolf - Michigan
5 Ryan Kalkbrenner - Creighton

Much rather use the Portland pick for a big man. I dont see Masai getting Queen because he only really likes 2 way players and theres no other big at the top of the draft worth the pick (besides CMB, but im his only fan, lol)

Give me Broome or Condon in the 2nd round over reaching for Maluach with a top 10 pick

Whats the latest on 'Handsome' Yang? Has he improved since last year and will he be available this year's draft?

Lol he said he knows they need a young big but that they’ll always draft BPA.

Imagine if they drafted Jalen Suggs because they needed a guard to replace Lowry rather than drafting Scottie when we already had Siakam and OG.

We kinda did use Scottie as a point fwd first year, or PG most times, but yeah, Masai knows Khaman fits well & will arguably be bpa or highest on their draft board

The bigs in this class prolly rank in terms of BPA...

1.Queen
2.CMB
3.Khaman
4.Newell
5.Flemming
6.Sorber

The ones in the area we are picking 7/8th prolly the Top 3 of that list in Queen/CMB/Khaman....Could make a case for all 3 being high on Masai draft board....Me im all in on Queen atm...After watching lots of film on the Bigs this draft Queens offensive upside is way too high to pass on....Hes a legit 6 foot 10 so i will bank on him becoming a decent defender in the future....But he passes the ball amazing, can Handle it like a modern big,His offensive moves and footwork are rare in a big.

Masai confirming that Raps are walking out of this draft with one of Maluach, Broome or Kalkbrenner, all t10 players on my board. Idk if munchkin CMB counts as a true big and I'm sure analytics can't be too high on Sorber.

I would trade Dick for Broome if that was possible. Really like him

You would have 29 teams lining up to make that offer, that trade would be malpractice. No idea why people have turned against Dick so strongly and so quickly

I would anticipate Presti would scoop him up at some point since they could use a pf/c.

Broome would actually fit great on NYK for some depth if they could get him somehow. Hardcore rebounder, great connective passer who rarely makes bad passes, solid defender and solid scorer at lower vol. He plays high IQ team basketball. And then he's still a touch under 23 on draft night which is a small bonus given his resume.

As for Kalk he is truly a gifted hooper with ideal nba 5 size, 7'1 w 7'5 WS. Elite TS% mid-high scoring vol college bigs with few holes tend to fare well in NBA, every draft these guys emerge like Daniel Gafford did despite being selected late.

Oh yeah Charlotte is also a good spot for Broome, they need a plug and play dude who brings serious workmanlike attitude to slot in between their primadonna stars who can get lazy when it comes to D and grinding for possessions.

I think Maluach is Masai's dream and maybe he's greasing fanbase up to get ready for him or trade to get him.

Another guy I would like to build team with is Dylan Cardwell who could be 10-12 year end of bench player.

Scottie was the team’s starting C and was used in the high post and off ball as a screener mostly his first year.
