Luka/Exum
Kyrie/Grimes
Klay/Naji
PJ/DFS
Lively/Gafford

That's about as close as you can get to a dream team in today's NBA.

I'm so fricken pissed I cant see straight.

Yes, it's not illegal to trade, but if you want my money, you don't give me a crappy product and ask me to like it.
Nothing about the trade makes sense, fans deserve an explanation.

Why is so hard to believe that arrogant idiot just used clueless owner to fulfill his grandiose dream? Far more idiotic things are going on in the world at the moment. People with absolute power can be absolute idiots.

And??
That explains hiding for 2.5 months and not saying a single word, while the organization is incapable of containing fans anger?
He had a plan? Do a proper interview and lay it out in front of your fans, we don't need to search for clues in books and articles.

He had a grandiose plan, D wins championships, which has fallen apart immediately, now idiot is hiding. Organisation had no plan from the beginning, because clueless owner put everything in idiot's hands, whose only plan has fallen apart immediately. Dumont has tied hands, because he would look like an idiot, if he fires Nico now and Nico can't do anything before offseason, because his only escape now is going all in. Maybe Adelson family or someone else with power there will say enough is enough and cut Nico, even though clueless
Son in law will have his feelings hurt.

It's just a **** show, very similar but on much smaller scale than Trump tariffs.

Because it's not just a basketball suicide... It's about marketing and team value too.
They are businessmen.
It is not credible that they underestimated the economic effect of the trade. No way Bob

He had to say it, for Kyrie and for the fans.

This man is done, look at his face. He is tired.
He sold his soul (and our franchise) for money but that deal is eating it from the inside... He was not ready for what it happened.

Tic toc Nico tic toc... It's coming... Tic toc Nico tic toc

I think Nico expected a bit of pushback from the fans post trade. But he didnt expect THIS type of backlash. His actual movements in the city are very limited now.

First international player to lead the list, if I didnt get it wrong.
This rigged league owes us a lot. And by "us" I mean the Mavs fans.

The least they can do is force the Adelsons to sell. Adam Silver telling us to give them a chance at All Star was disgusting.

Silver was excited for that trade, his league was almost dead.
Nobody watch regular season, nobody care about ASG.
The new NBA faces were bad and they don't attract new fans.

Harrison/Dumont & Pelinka/Buss given him new life.
They depserately need something like this.

One trade saved the whole NBA.

Dallas becomes a WNBA city now.

#TurnThePaige needs to be a thing. Mavs are going to be boring with Kyrie out. Next year will be better to watch with Kyrie back by ASB. Until then, it's just surviving every game.

Mavs = Titanic (which is a good thing because the faster that reality is accepted, the faster fans can create real action / leverage). Having hope with these clowns running the ship is false hope, just wasted energy and a diversion from reality. It will never get better with this ownership and FO. They cement that fact every single time they open their mouth.

What a sad fall after just being in the Finals and having a 25 yr old superstar presumably for the next decade

So incompetent and dysfunctional that it wreaks of corruption / collusion / rigged / move to Vegas etc

As an NBA fan this trade is horrible for the NBA because it really makes it seem rigged ('cause what person with a functional brain would ever make this trade?) and hurts the integrity of the game, or at minimum affects the perception of that a ton.

At the same time, the Mavs owner and FO continue to show that they are absolutely clueless and scumbags. Can they really be this stupid? Look at these interviews - absolute idiots. "Yeah uhh we don't really care about our fans derrrrr." Like what are you doing. What dumbsht says that.

Let's assume it's not rigged...

Then what?

I see this politically. Corrupt, trash leaders vs decent people. So what do you? Vote them out. You hit back.

What's gonna make the biggest impact over time? Protest + Boycotts. Fire Nico chants are awesome. But Mavs fans should be convincing other
fans to stop going to games and stop buying merchandise. Boycott boycott boycott. Any Mavs fan that goes to a game is a traitor. The faster that happens, the faster they sell. Mavs fans need to make it so uncomfortable for Dumont, Nico, and Welts that their reputations are completely ruined and they are the laughing stock of society.

"But it's just sports, I'm not gonna lose any sleep over this"

Sports aren't just sports, they're gathering spots for thousands to join up and unite behind something, their families making memories together, etc. I don't need to preach all the value of sports. If this team has given you any genuine enjoyment over the years, then fight back. F these people. Trash like Dumont and Nico. They are the trash of society, whether they're billionaires or homeless idc. Run their azz out of town like the cowards they are.

Fans have all the leverage, not these clowns.

Agreed. Anyone doing the 'MFFL means Mavs fan for LIFE!' schtick at this point is stupid and pathetic and I consider them to be on the side of Dumont. The only way to get our team back is forcing these owners out. I expect Dumont will eventually fire Nico and try worm out of responsibility but that is not good enough. This won't be fixed until the weeds have been pulled out by the roots.

Adam Silver had an interview and said that NBA ratings finally picked up at the 2nd half of the season. Aka after the Luka trade. It was done to save the league.

Inhope you're right.

The coasino and the ownership getting what they wanted makes me question things after the trade. It really doesn't matter at this point anyways.

I am curious to see the support the Mavs have next season. Attendance numbers and such after being in the top 3 this season.

Paige Bueckers will become a legend in Dallas. Let's get it.

ESPN only talks about Luka Lebron and the Lakers. And they only bring up other teams to demonstrate how good the Lakers are. And that is the reason why the NBA made the deal happen. Overall it's just better for the league - there's a ton of engagement for online articles and platforms, and viewership is way up post TDL.
