There are many different lineup combinations that make more sense and there’s plenty of lineup data + film to back it up. We’re going to lose this series if Doc doesn’t stop leaning into suboptimal lineups.

Agree, but at the same time the current starting lineup has a 130 offensive rating.

Potentially going 3 consecutive years without Giannis being on an All-Defense team is honestly embarrassing for the league.

Nesmith is expected to be available this offseason as the Pacers look to trim salary. Turner is their priority.

Turner and Nesmith would be perfect next to Giannis, doubt we have a shot either though.

Actually think it could go either way. Game 3 battling NFL Draft in GB and Sunday late start usually not desirable. Feel down 2-1 or 3-0 into Sunday, the ticket prices are going to be pretty cheap I would think.

If we win one of the first two, game 3 tickets will jump, down 2-0 they will stay where they are or even drop. Game 4 will be cheap unless we're up 2-1 or 3-0. Hell, they ran a playoff ticket deal all during Sundays game.

I had tried for hours to buy a ticket off that deal. It was a horrible web setup. Said tickets are available and then when I clicked for buying, it would say sorry there is an error or say that no tickets are available. I spent many hours trying to. Price was 65$ for lower level. There was a 35$ available for upper level; I didn’t try that.
I got very lucky and got uppers for Games 3 and 4 with that deal, sold the G3 tickets already to make Game 4 a freeroll, but wow, you are not kidding. That deal let me get all the way to checkout and THEN told me the seats I picked were unavailable, then only sold me Game 4 seats the next time, while not telling me my Game 3 order was rejected until AFTER they took my money, etc. Fanduel can eat a bag of em from every standpoint forever, just awful.

If Doc plays him.

It absolutely sucks that Sims couldn't make it back for the last game of the year, and get some run. Sims fits perfectly for the switching defense needed in the playoffs, but experimenting with his offensive fit during the playoffs is a tough ask. Hope we can build a comfortable lead at some point and get Sims in to work on making it work.

I have more concerns about stopping the Pacers 9th rated offense than I do about scoring versus their 6th rated defense

Youre not going to shut down their offense. But we dont need to. Our poa defense is much better this year and you saw that in our regular season matchups with them. We still are a far cry from an okc situation but we have just enough to give Giannis a chance to make this happen.

I think Kuzma is going to surprise some people with his defense. Im guessing he guards Pascal or Haliburton. If he cant do that he shouldnt play.

What concerns me the most is how we blew big leads against them when they put the clamps on us. They are REALLY good late game, and we seem to play like a bunch of buffoons.

That said, got row 11 tickets for game 4 in 118 for cheaper than what I paid for regular season tickets in the same spot. Love it.

I’m hoping it’s that we hadn’t discovered our secret weapon lineup yet.

KPJ does seem to be better in the late game situations than some of the other guys we'd been trotting out.

What's even worse is that in 2023 Giannis LED THE NBA defending both the screener and ball-handler in the MOST USED play, the pick-and-roll. But he didn't get selected, because reasons. All the Jokic fanatics cry about the Embiid MVP, but it should've been Gianni's that year.

Eh, this is overplayed. Haliburton hitting an absolute prayer shot to squeak out their only win against us this season, and the last game being one of the most blatant "gotta make Vegas happy" ref fixes I've ever seen (4 phantom calls on Giannis in the 4th quarter).

There is before the Minnesota game, and there is after the Minnesota game.

The amount that Doc put the specific Minny comeback lineup on the floor after that game is super heartening to me. Pacers are no doubt watching and re-watching all the tape on the zone we deploy with that group. Offensively, that lineup just puts you in a **** bind. You have to be perfect.

What I remember about that Haliburton one though is they missed a lot of good looks from 3 before that ridiculous degree of difficulty 4 point play.
