Heat and Cavs

Post#1 » by bgrep14 » Thu Apr 17, 2025 12:35 am

Heat: Wiggins

Cavs: Strus and Okoro

Heat get a familiar face and improve shooting

Cavs: get a more true SF to play with Mitchell and Garland

Color me cautious if you will, but I think the Cavs are going to see how the postseason goes before entertaining trades.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Is anyone making trades before the off-season ?

I like Wiggins a lot more than the others…he’s certainly the most complete and very capable of putting up more points than both of the CLE guys on top of his 2-way play and positional versatility

Cavs are almost certainly going to be above the second apron and unable to aggregate salaries. Particularly if they’re willing to give up shooting, because that means they likely re-signed Jerome and Merrill.

Even if it could happen, I don't see why Miami entertains this.
