We also need to move Coby. No, that's not a reaction to today's game. It's just reality. In soccer terms, Giddey & Coby are both luxury players -- meaning highly skilled offensive players who don't defend. You can't have 2 guys like that in your starting lineup if you want to be a good team. You just can't. And of the two, Giddey is the true talent. Shooting guards are common, but not 6' 8" PGs who are triple double threats.

Yeah, 100% fact.. I said it earlier, they are maybe even worst starting backcourt defense pair in league..

I hate to say this but again I have said this many times old school style would have been like start the game 1-2 open drives.. 3rd drive you foul them really really hard. You send a F message right to start.

AKME's ultimate goal was to build a perennial mediocre team and they accomplished the job. Well done, AKME!

They must love being stuck with bunch of one way players who can't defend against hard competition and no real cores to build around.

They would refuse to sell non core players high. They would overpay for non core players. They would refuse to bottom out which is the only chance to get real core players who's worth to build around.

2. Good coaches and proper game planning can exploit your best players weaknesses of which ours have many

They won't be cute in the regular season. They will be cute at the end of the season when half the games aren't even contested.

Giddey and Matas are two guys. The rest of this team can go.

Coby played like he has most seasons. He is not a 30 million dollar

I'm not sure if they could've got picks for Ball (because of his injury) and I'm not sure how valuable Zach was (if they traded him a few years earlier). Caruso...sure. I wanted them to get picks from OKC, develop the two rookies (Matas and the player you get with OKCs pick) and then get a top pick in 2025. Maybe even have a 2nd pick from the Caruso trade if you can get it.

I pray to all gods, we dont see this backcourt in 2026-27 and paying them 65M per.. keep Giddey for reasonable price maybe, Coby only for 6th man role around 18M max..

Ideally you don’t want Giddey taking 21 shots, but no one else was doing anything. At least he contributed something as usual with 10 boards and still scored 25 on 21 shots. That was a bad game for him, but he didn’t completely crap the bed.

Coby did absolutely nothing. Nothing. 17 points on 20 shots is pathetic. With some of the lowest IQ decisions I have ever seen.

Not as physical on the drive which restricted his FT.

Zach actually always reminded me of Ray Allen.

Coby might be struggling but we won't pay him next year anyway so a year of seeing if he and Giddey can play together will be great.
Giddey is legit. I really hope he's back. I don't think he's worth the max as some have suggested, but I do think he's worth a lot.
Buz is solid. Excited to have these three be the centerpieces for next year. That's a fun team that could inch up to the 3-4-5-6-7-8 seed.

This loss stings because its on the D. We know we need D. That's what I will be looking for at pick 12/13 and in FA. A healthy Lonzo would help.
Teh refs sure aren't calling much.
I hate how often we shoot and there is one guy under the basket.

We have more TOs than Assists and are being doubled up in turnovers. A really bad defensive game.

This is a good start to the build. I'm excited for what the 12/13th pick will add and excited to move forward.

In the end, the Heat only scored 109. The loss wasn't on just the D. The Bulls can't really score other than the occasional Coby hotc streak.

Of the Bulls players, who should be traded or has bad contracts? Jevon Carter, Patrick Williams, Zach Collins, Nikola Vucevic, Dalen Terry then you have Huerter, Ayo heading to free agency so you lose them for nothing if you don't trade them just like Coby. You can't move everybody. Of the eight, Coby would be pretty far down the list. I have at least until the trade deadline to make a decision and see what's out there.

It's not AKMEs goal and it wasn't Gar/Pax goal. It's Reinsdorfs goal, it's all on ownership. He wants medicore teams with low payrolls and no large long term contracts. AKME and Gar/Pax got handcuffed. You can't build a team when you cant take on bad contracts to get draft picks. The only trades Reinsdorf allows are trades he financially wins.... usually salary dumps.

100%. About a month ago I got ripped into and told what a dumb idea it was when I suggested we trade Coby. It was after he had a great game, and it was Guru who ripped into me. My thought then and now is that he isn't a player you want to sign long-term for the contract he will command. Coby and Giddey isn't a winning combo. They need to trade him. We can't get blinded by games where he scores 35 and we beat a bad team.

The problem is that Coby is streaky. When he's on he's good. The other issue is that he only has one more year on his deal. Coby at 12 million is good. 30 million? Not so good.

If AK trades him (and I don't think he will) what should he try to get?

At this point it's almost an insult to John Paxson if you compare him to AK.

John Paxson alone is a much better decision maker than AK. AK is delusional as hell.
