The Chicago Bulls strive for mediocrity and I am grateful for them.

Interesting to see what the Fibs offer Giddey this offseason.

Re: ATL - Bud Out in Phoenix
Fun fact we could be watching playoffs this week instead of this crap.
They play 82 regular season games just to do a playoff to try and stop 2 to 3 more teams from tanking and give TNT and ESPN 3 nights of mediocre TV.
Last night out of 2 games you had 3 headline players. Tonight 2 games and not a single headline player(sorry Nico AD is not a draw).
Silver really is out there just stealing good PR as he continues to make this product more unappealing to the modern day sports fan.
Sorry the NBA isn't the NFL and no one is telling the NBA you need more games.

Just go to four teams making it in each conference. This is ridiculous.

Yeah these games suck. I do appreciate the real playoff teams get 6-7 days off and that's needed. I wouldn't have wanted the Bucks to start the playoffs on Tuesday. It would have been fine with 5 days if no basketball instead if this crap.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Must admit I’m tiring a bit of the playin too. I like that it keeps the end of the reg season a tad more meaningful/interesting but watching 9/10 seeds slug out these games isn’t great. They should move back to a top 8. The gimmick of the playin has gotten old.

Re: ATL - Bud Out in Phoenix
The play-in format isn't the problem. The problem is that this year's games have been disappointing. The play-in is worth it alone for making teams fight for the top 6 seeds instead of 8. I wouldn't mind expanding it so only 4 teams get byes and teams have to play their way in to seeds 5-8.
And of course the regular season should be about 50 games because fans are feeling NBA fatigue at this point.

Monte McNair out in Sacramento.

The time to fleece is probably before they fire the guy who traded Haliburton to make room for Fox and then trade Fox and try to build a winning team around Sabonis and the Bulls.

Re: ATL - Bud Out in Phoenix
The Kings had their one fun FTD season two years ago and now it's right back to the treadmill. Spending the 4th overall pick on a dude who ends up being just a solid role-player hurts. I'm guessing they're largely gonna run it back with some minor tweaks, but they should probably be shopping Sabonis this offseason if the offers are good enough.

"Bud Out in Phoenix" sounds like slang for telling people to go there to get high.

Their GMs before Monte were just as bad, and I'll predict their GMs after Monte will be just as bad.
When you have meddlesome ownership, the GM doesn't stand a chance.

Would rather the Bucks start Wednesday or Thursday and have more days off throughout the playoffs.MickeyDavis wrote:Yeah these games suck. This week adds no value to league but to put a very poor product in the spotlight for a full week.

Between the stupid Cup and Play-in, Silver somehow extending the season even longer while also further diluting the product/quality of games is honestly pretty impressive. Dude is an absolute menace and I'm convinced that he actually hates the sport that he's paid millions of dollars to oversee.

I had that same thought yesterday. He pays lip service to the idea of shortening the season, to improve the quality of the product, but all he’s done is make it longer.
He’s all for finding new ways to extract another buck in the short-term, but it feels like there’s no long term vision.

Re: ATL - Bud Out in Phoenix
Man, the warriors royally screwed up with their recent high draft picks.
They got cute with it, thinking their **** don’t stink, and tried to find their next core post Steph.
In 2020 and 2021, they completely botched the #2, #7, and #14 picks (I still like moody to a degree, but he’s not awesome value at that spot). They could have packaged those for a dude who’s like 25 and a capable top 3 guy who would be in his prime now, but instead they just lit those assets on fire.
Maybe you wouldn’t like the financial situation, but then you could have moved those picks for future picks, and retained flexibility for a massive trade later.
I know you gotta trust your scouting in the moment. If Wiseman had turned into a star, they’re fine. But in hindsight, it’s brutal.
