Imagine stealing Game 1 only to have a fresh, ready-to-go Dame for Game 2.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

Dr Robert Watkins and whoever is responsible for Dame’s recovery seem to be on the ball!

I realize i'm a middle aged man, but i developed deep vein thrombosis in my left calf about a year ago and it took many months to heal. My thrombosis turned out to be related a a rare form of blood cancer. Did they ever go public with a reason? Young healthy people just don't develop blood clots without a underlying medical condition. I still worry for his long term heath. Not just bball, life in general.

That would be stupid AF. The Dame-Trent backcourt has proven to not work defensively & overall has inferior nets to Dame-Green.

Lillard-Trent is -2.8. Lillard Green is +5.6. The difference in pts allowed per 100 is almost 10.

When were those stats for Trent taking at the beginning of the year when he was starting and was god awful if so I wouldn’t waste time on those since that slump he’s been a very good player for us better than AJ and more consistent.

Yup. They also were able to make Giannis better after basically blowing his knee in time for the finals. They made Brook come back looking like his old self (even if it was still slow), and they probably held Khris together far longer than any other team would've been able to.

Not a chance. We've shown nothing to suggest we can even be competitive in a series against Boston or Cleveland let alone win it outright. Maybe less so with Cleveland as they've been sputtering lately....

Half our games with both of those teams have been a possession or two away from wins and most without KPJ on the team. Definitely a chance imo but need to be healthy.

This is provably false.

Green had our best d-rating on the season as a whole. #2 in terms of net rating behind Giannis.

Last season Lillard-Green had a +17 net rating, and they only allowed 104 pts per 100 (backing up their 108 this season). In Portland, Dame-Trent allowed 115 (+4.4) & 116 (+4.6).

It's an indisputable fact Trent's an inferior defender to Green & Dame-Trent is a bad defensive backcourt, which makes it almost impossible to contend with.

Who shows up offensively for the postseason is an open question for both. But if it's just Trent to play next to Lillard, we're in trouble. You better hope Green carries over that functional offense to take advantage of the proven more functional defensive backcourt & Doc calls upon that.

Yea I agree obviously we're all excited to get him back. But in my mind the team was gelling at the right time and Giannis was thriving being the alpha. Now it's kind of awkward how he'll fit into this. I hope we find a way to make sure he's an addition and not subtraction. Dame and AJ seems like the better first team and KPJ and trent might be better second unit, with KPJ as a flex between first and second team depending how the game is going.

Really there’s always a chance those games we lost were very competitive losing on a last second shot in one game and that was before we got kPJ no team is unbeatable this year. Giannis at his best will be the best player on the floor every nite in these playoffs

With the individual matchup data, as noisy as that can be, stating KPJ has defended forwards better than guards, do Dame, Green, KPJ, Giannis and then either brook, Bobby, or Kuz.
