Portland / Sac
Two options:
1) Sabonis for Sharpe/Ayton
2) Sabonis for Clingan/AytonorGrant/#9
Portland makes a move to win. Sac retools. Having a Sabonis playing in Portland seems right too.

Re: Portland / Sac
My pick and suggestion has always been #2. Ayton not Grant, as Grant is a good piece around Sabonis.
Scoot/Simons
Sharpe/
Deni/Thybulle
Camara/Grant
Sabonis/RWIII
A great team to put around Sabonis. Forwards who defend, guards who play off pnr and can create for themselves and others. This team would instantly win 50 games next year.
Kings will need a center replacement for Sabonis, and a draft pick helps start the process. Carter, Keon, Keegan, #9, Clingan is a start. Move off Monk, Derozan and wait for Lavine/Ayton to expire.

Re: Portland / Sac
No team with Sabonis as its best player will ever contend.
Why does POR want to fail like SAC has with Sabonis?
Can’t we just find our own way to fail?

I'd rather Grant be in any deal for Sabonis

Most I would do is Ayton + #10.

Re: Portland / Sac
Sacramento seems to want Ayton in the deal so perhaps something built around Ayton, 9/10
and one of the Milwaukee pick swaps might be enough for Sabonis in the end

I would be all over this if it is the worse of the picks, but hesitant if it is unprotected best. Maybe the compromise is best of the 2029 picks we have access to but top 4 protected.

Sac isn’t going to want far of value.

That’s fine. I tend to think a rebuilding team would be good with a potentially good pick over mediocre new picks. Picks in the future provide tons of flexibility that I think people overlook when they talk about current GMs, and 4 years comes fast IMO. But ultimately, if Kings fans aren’t in agreement, I can accept that.

Portland has three assets of interest for Sac Sharpe/Clingan/9. The rest is salary.

Portland shouldn't do either.

I agree that those should be the main interests. I doubt they would reject considering future picks as well.

Maybe, if they have a plan to flip them. But Vivek is a what have you done for me today guy.

I was thinking of the 2028 Milwaukie pick swap which there is a chance Portland may not be able to use and
might even consider putting Sharpe in the deal but would remove the 2028 pick swap.

I think any two of Sharpe/Clingan/9 would do it.

I think it would have to be Clingan & 9 from Portland. Portland may not do it, but it should be considered.

I am not moving 2 of Sharpe / Clingan / 9 for Sabonis.
Ayton + Murray + 10 is the highest PDX should offer IMO.
Portland isnt a Sabonis away from contending. He is the 3rd best player on a good team IMO. If the cost is low enough you do it and hope the across-the-board talent of Scoot / Sharpe / Camara / Deni / Sabonis / Clingan is enough to minimize the lack of a true #1 option.
But paying 2 of Scoot / Sharpe / Donovan / pick is way too rich for me.

Portland makes a move to win. Sac retools. Having a Sabonis playing in Portland seems right too.
The 2nd option is a lot more value than the 1st. I don't see Sharpe as that huge of a trade asset. Clingan + #9 feels like something that's a lot more valuable - even with Grant tied on. I'm also not sure how Sharpe works with LaVine (kind of feels like LaVine and LaVine Jr).
Feels like Ayton + #9 + something (future 1st?) gets in the vicinity if Sacramento is rebuilding.

#9 shouldn’t be enough. Ayton is salary.
LaVine should have no impact in a Sabonis trade, that’s looking long term.
