at this point im trading ochai before gradey or walter. they have(gradey especially imo)higher upside, are younger and will need to be paid later. gradey with another good summer could be visibly better again next year just like he was this past year.

I think the team takes a wait and see approach here and sees how the draft plays out. Any of those guys could move for the right deal on draft day, but it feels unlikely right now. We don’t know enough yet. It would be a mistake to think Ochai doesn’t have more to offer looking at his development trajectory from college till now, IMO.

all fair. i agree.

We have way too much investment and draft capital in the wrong players. We need to move Dick while he may have some value - but I see more options for decent guard/wings at our draft spot, and I see a front office that won’t want to take them, or create room for them by making decisions. Walter, Obaji, Dick, RJ - with the compliments of the other more team invested player, Obaji is the best fit and to me had the best year - but seems the most likely to be passed over.

The kind of suckin Masai has been doing is the worst kind. Go back to his first presser? He told us that much. Guy’s been body snatched or is just too sentimental to make tough decisions. The one time he did -Championship

people's obsession with moving gradey is wild. especially what they are willing him to trade him for.

I would trade him for lively if it was possible. Fits both teams. But I wouldn’t deal for less value than that.

The trade was for both Agbaji and Kelly. The deal started off with the Raptors offering a second for Kelly. Utah countered a 1st and we asked for Agbaji.

Whether we wanted Agbaji from the start and outplayed Danny or it naturally evolved we pushed for Agbaji as talks progressed.

The need for a center started the talks but we ended up getting a player we wanted for awhile. There is no centerpiece and thrown in here just two players who equaled a 1st round pick.

I don't see us trading Agbaji or Dick or any younger player. I see us trying to run two and a half lineups going to 10th or 11th man on the bench.

lol I think the majority of people will disagree but you're entitled to your own opinion

The trade was for Kelly. Ochai was a throw in. Facts. In hindsight Ochai was a good pickup.

That is just so bad. They sent Porter and Lewis' dead contracts. Olynyk was expiring and the contract to match. Agbaji guarded the best perimeter players when in Utah, in his 2nd year and was a recent FRP that got lost in a crowded Jazz bench, not getting enough minutes on a tanking team to show out.

They sure as hell didn't send a FRP for an expiring Olynyk.

I laughed at anyone that saw that as an Olynyk trade then when it happened, more than a few of us did, and I still will at anyone that still has to beleive that ignorance. And part of this board most certainly DID know the trade of the pick was for Agbaji.

Absolutely not. Team was in the full rebuild phase and Ochai was a year removed from being in the lottery.

Kelly was shipped a year later to get Ingram.

Team won like 27 games last year. They didn’t care about adding a 34 year old big man. lol.
