No the Hawks and Bulls are just hideously bad teams that have no business in the playoffs either. Obviously the Heat winning a ring would be great but you think THIS team has a chance? Getting Flagg would be way better for the Heat in terms of chances to win. I don't like it when the team loses either it feels weird to think we shouldn't try but logically this is a treadmill team that will never go anywhere unless Ware becomes a superstar. I like Ware a lot and I don't think that's impossible but it's not necessarily something I'd gamble on. I hope we can play Cleveland well but can't see it being a good series for us.

I don't think we're going to win a championship, but the odds for Flagg were also ridiculously low. And by giving up the pick this year we ensure it isn't lost in a potential lottery season, which would have been a true nightmare scenario.

Explain I'm a bit confused.

I also don't think we're bad enough to be a true lottery team next year, Herro and Bam will always get us into the playin in the East.

Saw a Heat fan claim he had no bbiq the other day, I couldn't believe it. I still think he gets physically pushed around a little too much (that might never change), but he's easily the highest bball IQ guy on the squad right now. Almost feel as comfortable with him making decisions as I used to with Jimmy.

Probably wasn't even a Heat fan but the Wiggins fan we inherited recently.

You and Bam since I've been on this board:

Huh? If you say so.

Bam is a good player. Not a superstar, but pretty good. But the way you jump to his defense any time anyone might disparage him is not subtle.

He was solid besides the first half of the fourth where he checked out and they went on a run

He was invisible except for the first quarter. Part of that was him being gassed by the end of the 3rd, the other was just same ole same ole from him. What really made this a horrible game for him was how awful he was on D today too. The blocks don't tell the story at all. By the 3rd quarter they were getting whatever they wanted against him. And he NEVER adjusted to Okongwu who outplayed him as did Niang.

Very poor showing from him, but glad we still pulled out the win.

Happy for Herro. Made key baskets in the 4th to keep them in this. And a huge 3 to start the 4th. Was their best player in these 2 games. Davion is probably player of the game. Huge 3s to take control of the game in over time

What OKC pick?

We owe OKCA lottery protected pick and Hornets. If it doesn't convey this year, its unprotected next year. And then the Hornets pick become unprotected in 2028.
From what I've read next year draft is good as well. You don't want to risk a top 3 pick to OKC

Pick is now owned by OKC next year. Mission accomplished for the front office. They never wanted to give up the two unprotected picks.

Congrats to all the players and the coach!

Herro and Mitchel the best players again but the whole team played as a unit.

Wiggins will step up in the next games, I guarantee it.
He was out of rhythm with all these injuries but he fought in both play in games. 2 20 pt games and gave it all.

This game was the most difficult.
If they lost it, that would be a disaster. Some players would have been traded.
The players were under pressure.

I expect Miami to compete against Cavalliers and I think they can elliminate them.

I think the Heat have the tools to go to east finals against Celtics.

He wasnt very good in previous years, but he definitely improved a ton. Still would like him to get a little bigger.

highsmith and wiggins nearly cost the Heat win.

highsmithn was fine on defense but offense he missed every open 3 sand wiggins was making so many mistakes left and right but thank you goodness his offense make up for it somewhat but Mitchell was able lift Heat out of this mess completely. I wonder if Heat fans agree with spo that playing high smith was worth the tradeoff over playing Duncan. ducan will probably made these three that Highsmith missed but defense will suffer.

Oh no doubt. He used to be a "no no no, yes!" type of guy who only really looked to get his and kill momentum. You could see him start to turn the corner last season before he got hurt, but he maintained that growth this year without suffering any injuries, and it was great to see.

I mean just see the last post I quoted lmao, that’s the type of off base stuff I mainly comment on. The worst take of the night, I just think it’s funny how he gets scapegoated no matter what while he’s playing all world defense, and giving you 17-11-5 as a 3rd option and getting us several extra plays grabbing offensive rebounds or getting his hands on them. Did he have an insane game? No, offensively at least, but he had a major impact tonight and everything backs it.

Bam is one of the greatest players in Heat history. Unironically. 3ammy is right, he needs more respect. Sure he isn't Wade, LBJ, Mourning or Jimmy Butler in that he can carry a team but he's such a great complementary piece. Not everyone has to be a bus driver!
