Memphis played Ja until 1:30 left in the 4Q. First stroke of luck was Ja’s ankle healing. The second was Memphis wanting to win this game. Les Boullez luck is turning. It’s definitely a new era

I believe it should be 18,19 or 20 (don't know how the order is decided between the Grizzlies, Warriors and Bucks having the same record). 15-16-17 will be Heat-Magic-Pistons

congrats guys! I've been following your team for a couple of years now and love the FO and direction of your franchise. It's a weaker draft imo but there should still be quality role players and maybe a couple with starting upside in the late teens. Hoping you land Flagg or Bailey with your first pick.

Trade up and take CMB. Or Trade more and get Maluach.

Of the above Ace will be gone. I think they’d take Sorber if the medicals check out.

For me it’s a virtual three way coin flip between Sorber Fleming and DQ. I can make a case for any of them. Except Sorber is the youngest of the bunch. Better defender. So the upside play is the Georgetown kid.

Turf toe surgery recovery is 4-6 months. Return to sports is 6 months to a year. If they play cautious they redshirt him for his rookie year. Or work him in slowly over the 2nd half while they’re playing for tank position.

Whatever happens, Will says they plan to be “aggressive” in the draft. I would not be surprised if they trade either to move up in the first round or add a third 1RP by shipping a package of 2nds. I want Yaxel but I bet they go younger. Carter Bryant. Or Ben Saraf.

I get the Flagg love. And maybe if you're at #1, you have to pick him.

I'd rather have Dylan Harper, though. I think he'll be a better pro. Just the eye test.

So wild to see that pick improve from 26th in mid February to 18th-20th 8 or 9 weeks later. Spectacular. In that zone my guys for now are the big swing types (in particular the French guys), but I am curious. Will their approach depend upon how the lottery plays out? If we get a high ceiling guy by landing 1.01 or 1.02, do we aim for more of a high floor option with the 2nd first? If we get hosed and land the 1.05 or 1.06, do we take a huge swing with the second pick (the French Guys, a high ceiling low floor guy that say slips from the 1.08-1.13 zone to our pick). I'm really curious. I don't want almost any of the guys people post about with the pick besides maybe Sorber, so I'll be on a different track than others, but I am curious if their approach changes depending upon the lottery?

18, 19 or 20 guess we look for an announcement from the NBA on Monday around 3pm regarding the virtual coin flip tie breaker. 18 would be sweet. :D

Right now at 18-20 I would like (in no order) Sorber/Fleming/Lendeborg.

If Kispert + 18 can move us up to the late lotto, I'd want Collin Murray-Boyles.

1000%. That would be a dream. CMB is such a great fit with Sarr. A dawg who would captain our D.

He's not listed on Tankathon but his YouTube highlight look really good (who's don't?)

What's his story? Age, height etc

Looks like a strong solid PF frame with all the accoutrements. I'm not sure why
a guy as impressive as he seems to be wasn't on Tank.

4 stocks per 40 and can shoot 3s. Good size. He will definitely be on the radar. Tankathon has him at 26 currently.

He didn't play a lot for whatever reason so I didn't pay any attention to him. Watching his highlights I keep thinking this guy is big. I think he could certainly play some 4.

I can see 18 + Kispert for MIA's 11 pretty easily. Kispert seems the odd man out on this team but he'd be perfect for another organization like Miami.

Assume the worst outcome... we get pick #6 and #20. What should we do? Try to move up a couple spots? Make pick at #6? Trade #20? I wonder if the Nets are willing trade partners - they have a lot of picks in this draft.

The more I look at this the more I like our options at 18-20. I wouldn't look to move up more than a couple of spots using a 2nd rounder.

I would do that deal in a heartbeat but I can’t shake the feeling that Kispert’s value in upside down currently

I did a deep dive on CMB last night and while I like his all-around game, he really isn't a shooter at all. It's not just the case of a guy who didn't really need to shoot, I see a guy who's lower body is stiff and almost shoots with a natural fade away tendency. His shot needs a complete rework. He's not a great free throw shooter either. He's 6-6 or 6-7, strictly a PF, not a guy that you want guarding 5s. I think his slashing ability is intriguing but pretty rudimentary.

He's a heliocentric non-shooter on a bad college team. How does this translate? His best attribute offensively is his court vision where he can fire dimes off a live dribble to open shooters when double teams come. But who in hell is double teaming CMB in the NBA?

His defensive awareness is impressive, he rebounds well and can even push it up the court but I don't see much utility in a 6-7 guy that isn't a shooter or elite slasher who did much of his offensive damage in the low post.

I see a Andre Roberson type with better ball-skills. Could be a standout defender against 3s & 4s, will need the perfect situation and spacing to unlock his offensive tools. I don't see him ever becoming an average shooter. I think his true value will be right around where the Wizards 2nd first rounder would be but I would not draft him. At this stage, I would only draft a complete non-shooter (non-C) if he was the rare outlier athlete with + skill & IQ like Amen Thompson.
