Really really missed Stew's rim protection in the 4th.

Can’t sugarcoat it. Youngsters definitely sucked tonight, and we choked it away. Cade was bad, Duren was bad, Ausar was meh, Holland was awful and got pulled. I hope Stew is gonna be OK, because Duren looks confused out there.

Good news it's only game 1. Hopefully we can steal game 2. We got some adjustments to make, but a lot of this was self inflicted. And gain, all pretty much expected. The veteran team executed better down the stretch.

Rather get blown out than lose like this. So frustrating

Disappointing, looks like the young nerves got the best of them. I hope they can settle in for game two and steal one in the garden. It’s not over, but too many turnovers and mistakes.

Super frustrating game. The young guys weren't up to it.
Harris, Beasley, Schroder and thj did everything you'd hope for.

Game 2 will be telling, how this team rebounds from a poor showing in the 4th

A harsh lesson in playoff basketball. It's almost a writ of passage for young teams first making the playoffs in the NBA to have these teaching moments.

No real shame in this loss. Another chance on Monday to steal one.

Easy to do when the Pistons tallest player is only 6’10

Duren was a -20 in his 25 minutes.
One-legged Stew was a +8 in his 19 minutes.
We’re done if Stew is done.

Not to knee jerk over 1 game but I'm selling high on Duren. Never going to get anywhere with a center that plays one end

Yeah, I said it before the series that Stew was the key. The Knicks drive hard to the paint, Stew's presence was greatly missed in the 4th.

No, not really. I was spot on right from the beginning of this game. Pistons aren’t very good. They just don’t pass the look test from a roster standpoint.
I guess the only positive is Jaden Ivey didn’t play and he’s the most talented guard on the team. It doesn’t address the lack of size inside though

We fought hard. Made stupid mistakes. For a young team I’m fine with the result. Lots of room for improvement this series

This stings a little considering how well we were playing
It’s tough to win a playoff game giving up a 21-0 run
Hopefully it’s a lesson learned
