"He's too slow and clumsy for todays NBA"
If they had sacked their coach earlier, who went away from Edeys screening for some reason, i might have won my rookie of the year bet

lol this is stupid
ok, So they didn't quite get wrecked. They were on their way to getting wrecked though. Luckily they took the rookie out and started playing better. I do stand by my statement that I think there's like very very slim chance that heat miss the playoffs next year.
I didn’t mean your post was stupid. But at the time I made the post the game was when the hawks were getting blown out.

Re: Around the NBA 12
I was completely wrong on Edey.
Props to the guy for changing his body. He moves totally different then he did in college.
If Edey can change his body and show this kind of improvement, can you imagine if someone like Zion did the same. I don't understand how these high level athletes can't get in peak shape.

Looks like they could have used Mark Williams.

But then they would have missed out on Knechts 5 points

How pissed will Giannis be?
I partially blame him for pushing for Lillard. He really underestimates the importance of Jrue

If the Lakers weren't comfortable projecting Mark to be healthy beyond five years when the picks would have conveyed then I understand them backing out of the deal, but I really do think they would be better than any team in the league besides maybe the Thunder if they had Mark. With Luka and Lebron in an ECF series you couldn't even count them out against the OKC.

Detroit walks into MSG and puts it on the table, walks out with a huge gut check win over the Knicks. Last year they were 14-68 and started over with just some smart FA signings and a real coach.
What is our excuse?

Sustainable building
Didn't you hear? No corner cutting here. Long term success.
Maybe next year?

Detroit front office deserve credit. They copped flack for investing in Tobias Harris and Tim Hardaway Jr, but it helped the team.
was a ballsy move.

We already wrote off next year but the year after that, when the Pistons are all washed up from shortcutting their rebuild cycle we’ll be ramping up to our 15 year long dynasty and establishing ourselves as the premier NBA organization behind franchise pillars Tidjane and Knueppel

Luckily Jeff was able to fend off competitors and invest in Josh Green, Miles Bridges, Salaun, and Jusuf Nurkic

The difference is very obvious. One team tried to win and the other team didn't.
Detroit traded 32nd pick for Fontechio last year, showing they were trying to win.
Then followed it up by signing Beasley, Harris and Paul Reed.
Traded for Tim Hardaway to address their biggest need in shooting.
Then they added Dennis Schroder at trade deadline, he scored the final 4 pts in that game for Detroit that mattered.
Meanwhile Hornets purposefully took on bad contracts for draft capital.
The message to the players couldn't have been more different.

Re: Around the NBA 12
The Pistons actually built their team over several seasons of tanking and THEN brought in some FA's to round out the roster and finally got semi good for the first time in 18 years this season. Seems like they had a plan and stuck to it until they broke thru. Probably a good idea have a plan and not do things randomly for short term chances like during the Jordan era.

Seems like they didn’t have a good plan so they fired their awful GM and coach. We should take note. Instead they gave JP a spiffy new title. Hilarious
It’s all good because we’ve got help coming in the form of another Atlanta Hawk reject. Just what we need

Detroit had the 1st overall pick then the 5th, 5th and 5th picks before deciding the time was right to add expensive veterans to the youth core. Sort of like they waited until the young dudes were ready to win and healthy while continually adding players through the draft and letting them develop before bringing the final pieces in. Sounds like a plan that might work here too. We tried to jumpstart the win now mode in the Jordan era after getting Melo by adding Hayward. Turns out that was not a great idea and they should have tanked another year or two. You are assuming only bad outcomes can come from being deliberate and building a foundation/gathering talent/acquiring future assets/letting a bunch of 20 year olds learn a bit/get muscled up. That is short sighted.
Or maybe you just like being a beacon of negativity to troll for "fun"?

Ron Holland and Jaden Ivey aren't why they are winning playoff games lol
Cade Cunningham didn't magically become "ready to win" last offseason. they just fired a loser coach and GM and the winning happened
obviously the Hornets will at some point sooner or later be better than they are right now but its going to take a lot longer than it needs to when you only hire Atlanta Hawks washouts
i won't bother replying to your emotionally charged meltdown at the end or stalking me around with youtube video replies beyond this: do better

The only emotion involved is laughing at the constant stream of over the top negative trolling. I would recommend some time outdoors in the sun so you : feel better.
Cade did not magically get better, he worked out, grew up and improved every year since he was drafted. Shooting, scoring, assists all trending up.
