Turning it off. Missed opportunity. A costly one too.
I love Dunn. The fact we’re looking for him the corner is something else.
Powell not boxing out and letting AG get the offensive rebound over him is infuriating.
Harden just bobbled it.
They’re going to lose sleep over this despite the BS they’ll say to the media after the game.

What a shame how did they take such horrible care of the ball.

Powell hitting a 3 when it doesn’t matter is just salt in the wound.
I’ve lost faith in Powell and Bogi. Simmons, FFS, played better that them.

One game into the series and I'm already sick of this era all over again. Kawhi is no longer worth all the BS he puts his teams through. We micromanaged his playing time all season for today and THIS is how he plays. Unreal.
Lue is a terrible coach as usual. The Nuggets' interim who was just thrown into the job a couple weeks ago coached circles around him. Our entire team looked flat and disinterested in a playoff game - I thought Lue was supposed to be an all-time great player's coach? How did he allow that to happen?
I am just so tired of watching the same routine from this franchise in the playoffs year after year. Another meltdown, another gutless performance. It's getting real old.

20 TOs and zero off ball awareness on D. Many times in the 4th LA tipped the ball only for it to find a Denver player. Awful inbounds pass to end the game. Wouldn’t be worried about this. Lenard should play this **** again and the team will get better with TOs

We 110% deserved this loss. We played well for about one and a half quarter and the rest was garbage.

Re: RD 1 GAME 1: LAC (0-0) @ DEN (0-0)—SAT 4/19 12:30 PM, ESPN
Disappointing but there was a predictable lack of familiarity that led to the key stat:
This is very fixable. The Clips have not played at full strength and full intensity all year. As long as we got through this healthy, it's as close to a win as you can get.
BTW, the new Denver coach played Westbrook 34 minutes and their "kids" Peyton Watson and Jalen Pickett a combined 19 minutes @ minus-8. So much for "change," lol. And the good news is that the Nugs basically played a 6-man rotation with 4 starters at 45+ minutes each. They can't last at that rate.
- Total Turnovers 20-11
Points Conceded Off Turnovers 29-9

Leonard might be healthy but expecting him to play that many consecutive minutes is asking for trouble. His knees will be shot before the first round.
What can Lue do though? Powell and Bogi are wetting the bed. Dunn is all ready playing enough minutes. More DJJ? Batum? Try Coffey again? He’s been as bad as Powell and Bogi though.

This was Kawhi first game against the Nuggets all year.
He'll adjust and be fine the next game.

Powell/Bogi dog poop
Kawhi was very mid
Harden was good except too many stupid turnovers.
Simmons worthless
Lue good offensive game plan to start but went away from it quickly. Forgot about Zubac pretty much the whole second half
Defensive game to double Joker was stupid. Lue is overrated and got beat by a rookie coach

I feel like Harden should have tried more from deep later in the game. He kept attacking the paint expending energy when maybe a couple of step backs might have been better. Hard to lose when you play so we'll for so long. Russ stealing the inbound was hard to take. Go Russ. But **** hell that was sloppy by league vets that should know better. Im hoping we can make adjustments to maybe even the series in game two.

I don’t know. Refs rewarded Jokic for his screaming and flopping tactics. Just watch Jokic and what he did this game. It was disgusting. Thats what turned the tide second quarter. 16 vs 27 throws. The fouls on Harden were also questionable. Murray can just plow into him without the ball? I feel the refs had a massive impact on the outcome of this game.

It’s obvious they want to keep the ball out of Leonard’s hands. They either double right away or wait for him to make a move then send a second defender. Guys need to gravitate to an open spot.

Well, the Clippers had a 15 point lead, turned it over 20 times, and still only lost by 2 points in OT. Overall, Clippers should have won this game easily.
Clippers role players need to step up. All of them need to take care of the ball. Leonard with 7 turnovers is crazy.

Somebody off the bench besides Batum needs to step up.
Also, Powell needs to score around 20 points. He hasn't been right since returning from his injuries. They need his contributions badly. If not, then at least Bodgan needs to play better.
The turnovers were infuriating. Kawhi in particular needs to be more careful.

Role players will be up and down, and road playoff games can be a mixed bag, but the star can't have 7 turnovers like Kawhi did, that was the game right there.

Exactly as I predicted in the first thread.
Ty would play Dunn
Ty would bench Bogi after a few missed shots.
Recipe for a loss. That's why a junior coach beat Ty
Dunn played well in the FQ and after that was 1 for 5. Finished with -7 and Murray didn't even feel him in the second half scoring 15 points
Bogi- He did miss all 3 shots, and had 3 TO's but he still had 5 rebounds and 2 assists and finished +2 in his minutes. I said in the other thread that if you're not playing Bogi 22-25 mins you better don't play him at all. He'll give you next to nothing in 12 mins. Shooters need to feel the ball and the shoots will start falling in.
We're not beating them exchanging 2's. Dunn won't beat them from the corner but Bogi will. Also Bogi would provide more space for Norm which Dunn is not providing.
If we repeat it, we'll lose again. As simple as that
We'll cut TO's but then Jokic won't miss that many layups and Murray will be more efficient. Next game they'll force 2 men game more and that'll surprise Ty.
We're not beating this team exchanging 2's. We have way better shooters than them so we need to beat them from 3. We took out of the game mpj like a little kid but still didn't capitalize on it

That's why I didn't want to hear all that praise from the media all of a sudden. Let us prove it first.
Kawhi has to put up more points first and foremost. Only 15 shots from him is insane if we're trying to win on the road in a hostile enviroment. Stop f*cking around and run more plays for Zu. As for Norm, I don't have a clue. He's not known as a post season guy anyways. And who in the f*ck is going to score on the 2nd unit? That's the question. Bogdan was awful and looked shook out there. DJJ was alright. Dunn was good and bad. Him getting deferred to for shots late in the 4th was mind-boggling. These dudes gotta get down and dirty more. Too much nonchalant ho-hum carelessness out there. Coffey or somebody has to get a look if Bogdan or Norm can't hit shots.
