I think people will be shocked at how awful Houston’s offense looks and how tough it is for them to score. Warriors in 5, maybe even 4. It’s going to be a nice introduction for a young Houston team, but they’re going to get blown off the floor.

I think they are going to make Curry look very old.

I think the Warriors are going to have to win this defensively. Make the Rockets play in the half court, force the ball out of Van Fleet’s hands and make someone else initiate the offense, keep the game close and then out execute them in the last 5 minutes.

I’d like to see Curry shoot them down in the crunch but the Rockets will probably lock him down with switches so somebody else will have to make big shots for the Warriors.

Van Vleet alone presented him with difficulties when he was much younger.

The only game tomorrow that features two teams who are not at least 20 wins apart. Oof

Was about to post a similar thought, sharing the betting odds for Sunday's games:

Grizz dogs by 13.5
Magic dogs by 13.5
Heat dogs by 12.5

Warriors-Rockets a toss up.

The opening day was of course saved by the classic Nuggets-Clippers game, but the other ones despite the blowout scores were interesting to an extent-- Pistons were leading but collapsed late; Wolves won as underdogs

Prepare for a second playoffs day bloodbath.

It’s ridiculous how the NBA has this set up. Because of the play in games the 7th and 8th seeds don’t get decided until later which means all the 2 vs 7 and 1 vs 8 game must take place on Sunday. Just bad

Eh at some point it’s going to mix and match when we have less games. It’s fine.

Steph Curry is averaging 16 ppg against Rockets this season on 36% FG and 30 3P%

Not sure why Warriors fan are so confident they win the series when Curry has struggled against them including a game they held him to 3 points. Those Thompson twins ain’t no joke. Playoff Jimmy can possibly get them over the hump but I think this will be a long series.

People look at seeds and don’t look at teams.

Edit: lol, I’m an idiot. Rockets are the 2nd seed, not the Warriors. Oof.

Playoffs are a different animal. Amen was great last time against him but you can be sure the Warriors won’t be that vanilla and lethargic on offense during this series.

I think this is the most important game of the series. Warriors need a great performance, and preferably a win. We can't afford for this young Rockets team to build confidence and belief.

The first few plays for Golden State should involve Moody. See where he's at and if he can take advantage of the Sengun matchup to force defensive adjustments.

The first few plays for Houston should be Sengun action so he can process how Golden State plans to help off his spacers.

It seems obvious but I expect Green to try to rattle Sengun. His history with Euros and all.

Sengun is the real X factor for the Rockets. If he can’t have his way then I don’t see how we have much of a chance even with playing decent defense. Warriors D is obviously the best in the league so it’ll be tough.

Udoka needs a game plan offensively that’s a bit different than what we have done all year.

Agree and all three of the first games are more important for the Warriors factoring in the 2 days of rest between games 2 and 3.

I think that a lot of people underestimate the Rockets. The Warriors are better than the usual 7th seed, no doubt about that, but Houston did earn that 2nd seed with their play. They are very good as well.

Agree, I think this series is going to be a rockfight that could go either way.
